'74 Vette question by
lab~rat >:-)
What would cause the following:
When you accelerate, it feels like the left rear of the car dips and
the right rear is trying to accelerate past the left rear tire?
The tires are the same size, shocks and suspension all seem good. The
car was taken to a mechanic that couldn't figure out the...

VOTR - Denver by
Empty3
Anyone go to the Vettes on the Rockies (VOTR) this past week?
I happened to be in Denver all week, and I was heading to Nebraska on Thursday. I must have seen over 50 Vettes heading west on 76
I rented a Dodge Magnum - boy did I miss my cars upon seeing the Vette caravan.

maybe a dumb quetion, but I have to ask..... by
[email protected][_2_]
I have an 76 that sits a lot of the winter and I just fire it
up occasionally, then drive it in the summer.
The other day, I drove home, parked and then it would not start. The
engine would not even turn over. Then I stuck the key in again and it
almost threw the engine out of the car turning...

c6 2 more things by
rebco10
I have had 2 other corvettes, both c4's (93 vert and 96 lt4,, a great
car) both were 6 speeds.
Has anyone driven the paddle shifter .... that is used to driving a
stick. Try to explain the tradeoff please. The exotics use paddles
and the technology is here so I am very curious. I really want...

best anti-RF ignition wiring TYPE by
63Avanti
now this is interesting,
I remember fabricating for my neighbor's '62 Ford a metal can with
braided shielded wires to cover his distributor and cables out to the
plugs. I no longer knew when he drove out of his driveway by watching
the patterns on my TV (UHF). ;)
Now for the question.
Any one...

Looking for good Corvette mechanic/shop in eastern Massachusetts by
Dick Snyder
Hi,
I have a C4 (1996) and I think there may be something wrong with the
variable ride control. The warning light flashed on once a month or two ago
but went off. However, since then the car feels like it is always in
Performance mode. I hate to take my car to the local Chevrolet dealer if I
have...

C6 Automatic: Shifting out of Park w/ Dead Battery by
Frank M.
Just curious. The User's Manual for my '07 C6 w/ auto trans says that
to shift out of Park when the engine isn't or won't run, pull on the
shift lever slightly and just hit the Accesory button twice to pulse
the tranny selector engagement switch. But what if there is no battery
or a dead battery...

Sticker shock..... by
Old & in the way....
Hi all, been lurking for a while learning and rembering, but now I have
specific stuff to ask.
Picked up a new 'o6 coupe a couple of days ago and have been flat amazed at
all of the technology that Chevy has thrown into the mix (L3 & Z51). Plus
the handling and power! What power (and I just got a...

- Does a 2000 C5 Have Brake Pad Sensors? by
Matt Trivisonno
>In any case I sure would not be waiting to hear the indicators "sound
>off" telling me I waited too long...
Is that really what it means? I was thinking that it was an alarm similar to
the low-fuel light, which comes on *before* you run out of gas. If it came on
after, it wouldn't be much help....
