First 200 Miles in New Z06 by Lee C. Carpenter
After 200 miles, some observations: * 1. Does the inside of the center console always get hot enough to smelt copper? Holy Moses... I guess GM didn't mean for us to store a chocolate bar in there. 2. Still haven't solved the rear end chatter issue. I did the figure eights Dad suggested and I...

Hidden Squeaks and Squawks in my '96 vette by Clayton Mallory
Here's a problem I'm having that you some of you may know as well. I can't get rid of a squeak that sounds like a chasis squeak when the car bounces under normal driving conditions. I know its a lube issue because when it rains or is wet out, no squeak. Any ideas? Thanks. cm

New radio for '97 C5 by Keith
My CD player on the factory radio has quit working. I went in to Car Toys yesterday looking for a new sound system. They said that the Bose speakers each had their own amps, and they would have to either: A. put a special adaptor in so that the new radio would work with the amplified speakers, but...

Roof takes a solo flight by [email protected]
One of my buds has a late model Vet, and in a moment of stupidity (or possibly an attack of old-timers disease), after washing his ride, drove off without the roof (Is it still called a T-top?) attached... He got to watch it land on the freeway in his rear view mirror....It still fits but looks a...

04 vs. 05 vette by Morgan
I'm thinking in a year or 2 purchasing a used '05 or '04 vette and wonder which is a better choice? I'm not considering at this time mileage or cost but improvements, safety and reliability. Also, just curious, anyone know what a new or used vette is estimated to cost per mile nowadays? I've...

Oil pressure gauge in '67/427 by Barking Rats
My '67 427/390 only has a 60 lb max figure on the oil pressure gauge. As I recall, a '65 327/300 I used to own had an 80 lb gauge (might have been a 90#... it's been 20 years since I sold the car). My reason for asking is that when accelerating it's pretty easy to peg or nearly peg the needle at...

Making a Service Bullitin Clain by Steve Horrillo
I noticed there was a service bulletin out for my '98. It mentioned premature wear on the leather bolsters. I mentioned it years ago but they told me it wasn't covered. But I didn't know a service bulletin existed and I can't find it written up in a service order. Is it too late to make a claim on...

Changes during production by dave
I think this movie just goes to show how far america has gone down the moral sewer. The desensitization ploy to homosexuality is an atrocity in itself ; the agenda has brainwashed multitudes into calling it a permissable lifestyle for which even grade-schoolers are being heavily persuaded of. Once...
