Hello, Not a car buff, but was wondering about this: Are the screws and nuts fasteners on most cars these days metric ? Does it depend upon if they are made in U.S., or imported ? Thanks, Bob

Will "cupped" tires wear back to normal if bad shocks are replaced? by phaeton
Turns out I have bad shocks, and my tires are cupped pretty bad on the inside. "Pretty bad" means they are very noisy and at higher speeds the vehicle becomes a little unstable (probably exacerbated by the bad shocks). So if I were to replace all 4 shocks, check the alignment, and continue to...

Symptoms of Mechanical Fuel Pump Failure by loadhawg
Working w/ an '84 Pontiac Firebird 2.8L V6 (w/ carb). Found fuel leaking out the bottom of the fuel pump. Pulled it and replaced it. I noticed a small hole on the back side of diaphragm. The Green Car of Today by PolicySpy[_3_]
The green car of today is the turbo-diesel. Now the current turbo- diesels don't rattle and don't puff smoke. They don't have a large amount of horsepower but they do have a large amount of torque and that really better suits the way that we drive. And so politicians and...
