My 99 540 makes a strange noise when i pull off slow an when i'm about to come to a complete stop like something is grinding or rubbing in the front. Could that possible be my heel bearings? I've changed my rotos an brake pads but the noise is still there. thanks

been looking around for a used 5 series, e34 touring wagon, well maintained, but not much luck in my neck of the woods (DC/MD/VA). During my searches I have come across some other 'deals': 1992 325i, auto, 63k miles, one owner, local trade in at a Honda dealer, asking $6000 USD, clean car fax....

X5 Wheel size Pro and Cons by DougA
I am looking at a used X5 and have the choice of 4 different wheels to go on it: 17, 18, 19 or 20 inch. In terms of ride which will be the most comfy? Which wheel/tire combo will weigh the most? Will I feel this weigh in ride comfort? More unsprung weight? It seems to me that the 20 inch...

Whistling sound by perry lee[_2_]
We replaced the windshield on our '98 Z3 a month ago, and now, when we are on the open road above 70 or 75 mph, we get a whistling noise from the lower edge of the windshield like someone blowing across a Coke bottle. At least we think it is the windshield, it comes from that area where the...

I got different opinions here. Because they say airbag could seriously harm you when you are not wearing seatbelt, but how is it implemented nowadays?

E36 series: Heater Control Unit by Terry Pinnell
I first enquired about this last November, and had helpful responses explaining that there were two major causes of problems with the heater control unit: #1 A capacitor in the unit itself #2 A 'final stage resistor'. I'm embarrassed to say that I've only now got my act together on this. Back in...
