Cylinder bank numbering by

Before I replace the wrong O2 sensor, would somebody please be kind
enough to confirm that BMW numbers their V8 cylinder banks 1 to 4
right side and 5 to 8 left side?

Hi guys,
Earlier this year I bought a brand new 550i. I know, I know....
spoiled brat. My last car was 1993 MB 400e and I bought it a year old
with 12k miles on it and changed the oil every 3k without fail. It was
the best car I ever owned and still ran great when I sold it with 200k
miles on it....

driving my car using the stepronic mode aciddently down shifted to lower
gear instead of
up shifting to higher gear rpm shot up to 4500rpm would this result in

A friend has a 1998 BMW IL that he bought new. I was speaking with him
the other day and he told me that the owner's manual says that the
recommended oil change interval is 100,000 miles. I told him that can't
be so and that I would check and see what I can find out.
What could he be talking about...

330 Coupe...but just the mention of vinyl cheapens it. What's the general

Central locking problem / question by

I have a 1995 BMW 318Ti and I need advise. My hatch will lock the doors
but not unlock them. And my doors will not lock or unlock the hatch. Any
ideas?

My 535i is low on oil and I am in the UK on a Sunday with only local
filling stations open. I am running Mobil 1 which I doubt I can buy
