jasper719
I recently took my 2000 Nissan Frontier 4X4 with 79,000 mi in for some
minor problem and the Nissan dealership told me I should have had the
timing chain changed at 60,000. Is this normal for this engine (V-6)or are
they just trying to get some work. I haven' had any problems relating to

4x4 Buying Recommendations by
Loves2Backpack
I am selling my 98 Silverado 3/4 ton, and would like some feedback on
what vehicle would make a reliable commuting vehicle, but yet still be
able to hit the trails. I am frequently on the backroads of Colorado
and I was thinking about a Jeep. I prefer the CJ7, but perhaps there
is something...

Nissan Frontier Replacement Shocks by
Soke2001
All, I recently purchased a 2000 Nissan Frontier XE Crew Cab. The truck
came complete with a 3" lift (I think) and 32" ties. My questions is...
what do I do if I ever need to replace my shocks when they go bad. The
existing ones don't have a brand name and neither does any of the
aftermarket parts...

1991 4runner 4WD question by
thom
I just recently bought a 91 4Runner with the automatic A340H
transmission. I can't find a definitive answer on the web about this,
so I thought I'd post here.
Is the 4WD system on this vehicle shift-on-the-fly, or do I need to
stop/slow down significantly first?
I had a Wrangler, you could...

99 sierra abs problems.... by
mhud
I have a 99 sierra 4x4, 5300 V8. When braking, no matter what speed,
my anti-lock seems to kick in at 5mph. Doesn't matter on road
conditions, weather, or temp. Even worse, if I happen to hit the
brakes at exactly 5 mph, the pedal seems to really 'lock' up and I
can't stop without frantically...

Overfilled Oil (Part 2): Weeping Remote Oil Filter Lines by
Spiderman
This is a follow-up to the infamous "Overfilled Oil" post. Of course it
turned out that the oil was only slightly overfilled so it was no problem.
However, while probing around I discovered that the remote oil filter lines
are weeping very slowly where the rubber hoses are crimped to the...

GMC Sonoma (1999) 4-wheel drive problem by
jwiles58
Can anyone give me a brief synopsis of how the 4-wheel drive works in a
1999 GMC Sonoma? Are the front axles engaged all the time? Are there
hubs to be locked, or automatic? Is there something (solenoid) that
engages the front differential to the axles? Is this operated by electric
or vacuum? ...
