Guess the weight... by John C.
....and win a prize. :) The last couple of weeks have been spent removing the interior and the "OMG" A/V system from the (new to me) '00 R. After having to draft two friends in order to assist me with the removal of the woofer enclosure, I figured it would be interesting to see just how much...

HELP! How to install center console on 2000 model by unix
Hi, I really need help on how to put back the center console on my 2000 Mustang. Can't figure out how to get the e-brake handle back into the slot without breaking something. It came off with much effort, BUT I'm pretty sure there has to be a trick in getting it back on. Thanks Ron 2000 GT 'vert

Oil Sensor by jonezzzman[_2_]
This is a follow up message for one I posted several months ago. I finally got around to replacing the Oil Sensor on my 89 GT and so far no more leaks. I tried just replacing the O-ring first, but it was the sensor that was leaking. I had to buy both the O-ring and the Sensor from the local...

Tricks in getting the center console in place by unix
Hi, I had to get to the e-brake assembly and (with much effort) removed the console, but can't get it back in place. The e-brake handle is a bitch to get into the console slot and I'm afraid to break the plastic. Are you supposed to loosen the brakes somehow to make the handle...

E-brake bolt rusted through sheet metal by unix
Hi, The handle on my e-brake became loose. I opened the console and it looks like the bolt in front of handle that holds it to the floor came right through the sheet metal. Is there a way to get to the underside of the floor so I can put in a large washer or something to hold down the bolt? Any...

Smells... by Brad and Karen
Hey all... I've noticed this a few times, can anyone shed light on it? The car is the 93 Cobra with a few mods, including shorties, no cats and a full exhaust. When I get the girl going, say, 80-90 mph, there is an odor that comes from the car when I bring it back down to earth. The car runs...

New GT deals by Big Al[_3_]
Anyone seeing any "deals" on new GT's? I just bid on one here. Used with 4,200 miles. I'm hearing, but not seeing, you can find brand new ones for $20K. And: I've heard the new 3 valve Mustangs have variable valve timing. Is this true? I've also heard they have a problem with them retarding the...
