Mercedes Benz parts problem by
[email protected]
I need a little help finding some car parts for my uncle. He's looking
for ignition and fuel systems for a 1987 Mercedes Benz 190 and a 1975
Mercedes Benz 450 SEL (I think).
I can't seem to find these on Google (perhaps I'm not using the right
search terms) and I was hoping maybe someone knows of...

Transmission problem? by
Doug McLaren
I've got a 99 Ford Taurus. Automatic transmission.
Recently, it has started `lurching' a bit when at idle in any of the
`Drive gears. With the brake on, it doesn't actually go anywhere, but
you can feel it trying to, and the engine slows down momentarily, then
comes back up to speed. The car...

Grand Prix is overheating - no coolant cycling by
Shep
You probably are air bound, there should be a bleeder port on the thermo
housing, you must add coolant till the coolant flows freely out of that
port. There may be another one on the coolant pipe other end of engine.

93 Prizm - blower motor removal by
MG
I have a rustling, vibrating noise that comes from the passenger's side
vent when the AC/fan is turned on. From what I've read it sounds like the
blower motor needs to be cleaned out. The Chilton book explains how to do
this, but it mentions that the AC system must be discharged and...

1995 Grand Cherokee Charging System Problem by
[email protected]
Hi all,
On a long highway drive, the voltage starts to drop and the check
engine light comes on. The small town parts store I limp into does not
have the alternator in stock so I buy a new battery (mine was getting
pretty old anyway) and make the 150 miles home w/o AC to conserve
power.
When I...

Ford Probe '97 4-cyl brief power loss by
[email protected]
Hello,
My Ford Probe recently (past 2 weeks) started showing some problems
with intermittent brief power losses. The only thing I notice is that
while driving the RPM indicator drops and the radio resets itself. A
split-second later RPMs are up to where they were before and the radio
starts...

[email protected]
Hi,
I think there is air in my rear brake lines, but bleeding is a
rediculous pain. I know the proportioning valve on the '84 is not
adjustable, but is there a way to disable it? I know the first ones on
Jeeps there was a button that could be held. I just want a way to keep
normal pressure or...

No voltage from O2 sensor by
largetalon
I am trying to replace an OEM oxygen sensor on an Eagle Talon because
the voltage readings coming from the signal wire didn't seem to be high
enough (trying to figure out why an emissions test failed).
I purchased an aftermarket Bosch sensor which needs to be spliced in
with the current connector....

Weird clutch problem on '86 Nissan pickup (4wd) by
[email protected]
This started 9 months ago when it was cold. The clutch will engage
intermittently. I thought it had something to do with the cold as it
would engage after warming up and then would only not engage
occasionally thereafter.
This summer it got a little worse so I cleaned out the clutch...

Is the star pattern sequence for torqueing lug nuts used soley to prevent
rotor warp? Is there any more danger that a wheel could come loose from
the hub if tightened in a circular fashion?
