Manual Transmission Question? by Clams Canino
Now we come to the reason I actually came to this forum - and it was not to talk about speeding tickets and Cadillac "trucks" :) Has anyone here "retrofitted" an older Vette with a modern 6 speed overdrive tranny? Yes, I remember form doing the clutch (years ago) that getting the tranny in and...

AC temperature control problem (C5 ) by Jon[_6_]
Passenger side dial is set in the center default position. No matter where I adjust the driver's side dial the passenger side is blowing ice cold and the driver's side is barely cool at all. What is going on?

Repair/Replacement of 12-Disc CD Player by aRKay[_2_]
The GM factory installed Pioneer 12-Disc CD Player in my 2001 C5 locked up and would not even eject the carrier. The GM dealer wanted way too much money to pull it, ship it off for repair and reinstall. I pulled the unit that was no bid deal (4-screws) and sent it to United Radio Service,...

7 quarts of oil in a 2001 vette by swede[_2_]
I took my Vette in for an oil change. The tech put in 7 quarts, but only 6.5 quarts is called for. Will the extra 1/2 quart harm the engine. Should I take it back and have him remove 1/2 quart? S

Speed bleeders by [email protected][_2_]
I got some of these for my 76 vette so I could do a brake fluid change alone. For some reason I cannot get the damned things to work. On the web, they say 1/2 to 1 turn out. I get nothing. Then if I loosen it too much of course I get fluid all over the suspension from around the fitting. What am...

GM, help is here? by Dad[_1_]
I contend that for a nation to try to tax itself into prosperity is like a man standing in a bucket and trying to lift himself up by the handle. -- Winston Churchill If you think health care is expensive now, wait until you see what it costs when it's free! -- P.J. O'Rourke A government which...

Good GM/Bad GM by Comments4u
Recent Obama Administration statements indicate a willingness to try to save some of GM, but not all of it, an obvious solution for a company so buried in debt, bad products, obsolete factories, and legacy costs that aid for the whole would mean subsidies to the end of time. The bad parts would...

Hesitation on Inclines/Declines 96LT1 Auto by RP[_2_]
I’ve got 96 LT1 auto, that recently started doing a slight hesitation on inclines and declines. It’s not where it backfires or anything like that, it’s just a very slight hesitation. It’s been doing this for a few months and luckily it’s not getting any worst. On a flat road, I can floor it and...

C4 engine has no power by SteveC[_3_]
I took my 1990 C4 out of winter storage last week. I drove it about 50 mile the first day with no problems. The next day it will only idle. When I press the accelerator pedal, the engine loses power and stalls unless I release the pedal where it settles into an idle again. Is this a fuel...

And I parked it next door at the Pet Smart in the Prius area! No one even got close to me. Then I went to Costco and parked over at the Radio Shack. I bought a bag of Kirkland cat food, a case of canned dog food, two 3-globe bathroom vanity lights, 10 lbs of thighs, a cryovac of NY strips, a...
