Air leak? Vaccum leak? Or what? by jonmarois
I just bought a descent 87 lx mustang. It will run only when you stick your hand over the air intake. It seems to suck alot more air up than it should. When you take you hand off it dies. I took off the fuel intake manifold and cleaned it up, and got a new fuel filter. The EGR valve is working too...

Can anyone give a little bit of a clue on where the starter would be at for a 94' Mustang V6 3.8? I am newbie in the mechanics division, so I am in the learning process.

'68 Mustang bad brakes... by Darryl
All new hardware, including master cylinder and the fronts were upgraded to disc. The only thing that hasn't been replaced is that directional valve 'thingy' which, I'm guessing, acts as a failsafe. Have bled the brakes numerous times, however, the pedal keeps travelling to the floor. Is that...

What Did We Do Wrong? by Lee Sun
It's been quite some time since I last posted, and I thank all of you who gave my son and I guidance on repairing his 2.3L 89 Mustang with the hole in the intake manifold that caused it to act like the head gasket was blown. 89 Mustang 2.3L with leak in intake manifold. We finally got our...

The Good, The Bad And The Ugly From Shelby by Patrick
First the bad news. It looks like Shelby's first new high-performance Ford will be a sport... I'm sorry, performance utility vehicle (PUV). The 550-horsepower vehicle will be based on a Ford Expedition, but will have the motor from the Ford GT supercar, 22-inch wheels, upgraded brakes/exhaust, a...

Pinging by
Car is pinging every new and then at full throttle... maybe 1/5 times. It's very unnerving. Also, I'm losing about a 1/4 of a quart of oil every 3k miles. I'm going to clean the air filter today, clean sensors, I already replaced EGR valve. What else would you recommend I do? Thanks in...

Good thing I got the warranty!! by Erik D.
Well, I brought my car in cause it was grinding third. The transmission is being rebuilt and they fixed the check engine light. I'm so happy I bought the warranty for it. It sucks though that I haven't even made the first payment and its already broke. Hopefully it isn't a sign of things to...

351/T5 '65 Mustang lives! by B2723m
Hi All, After one fiasco followed by another...four starters (re-built), two thermostats, another radiator (now 4-row) and a weird ignition wiring discovery (previous owner's radio wiring, I'm not sure I can ever explain it) the car is up and running. Following cam break-in and timing set to 12d...

'86 302 Balance question by Ironradio
I realize this FSB balance issues have been asked and answered here before but I have an additional couple questions. I recently bought a vehicle which has a '86 5.0L Mustang engine which vibrated when it ran. I noticed the ring on the harmonic damper was cocked and thinking that was the problem,...

New '05 Mustangs/Cheap Warranty!?? by Bingo
The US warranty really sucks, imho. 3yr/36k mile basic & powertrain and 60 months corrosion!?? A 2yr lease would be the ticket... if it was available. The new mustang doesn't amount to much with such a cheap warranty. YMMV, Andy
