Coolant leaking throught weep hole by
[email protected]
89 civic. A very small amount of coolant is leaking between
oil pan and water pump area. I thought it could be engine
oil is leaking but after online research I gotta found out that
the rad coolant is weeping through a weeping hole. I did not heard
of a weeping hole before. Some posters suggested...

92 civic 1.5 dist. seal by
becklesnjohn
my 92 civic 1.5 16 valve has a problem with oil leaking into the dist cap.
dealer said the only reason this would happen is due to an internal seal in
the dist. we decided to simply replace the dist itself since we had just
done an immense amount of work on it anyways. this is the 2nd...

96 Accord Ex ABS light by
Brock
Hi, I had a 97 5spd EX that got totaled and it started doing but did not
have enough time to investigate it. I just bought a 96 EX 4cy auto today. My
ABS light stays on and makes a funny noise for about 5-10 seconds and the
sound goes away but the light stays on. Does anyone have any info on...

88 PGMFI accessing PCV tube at crankcase? by
Eric
I disconnected the PCV Valve tube from the PCV Valve and cannot detect
any air flow so I think the tube may be blocked. Does this sound
reasonable?
I want to clean the tube by removing it and knocking any debris out of
it but I can't unfasten the tube from the crankcase. By sliding my
hand under...

2002 CRV and MAINT REQUIRED LIGHT by
Jason
Any idea how to find out what the maint required light means? - I'm at a
little over 42,000 miles. Does this just mean I am due for a service like
40k maint or something?
Is there another light that comes on if there is a problem?

96 Accord front rotors badly warped by
Grey-hound
I'm the 2nd owner of a 4 door Accord 4 cyl a/t LX w/116k miles on it. On a
very light stop the front brakes cause a little vibration shimmy through the
steering wheel. Anything harder than that and it is very bad. Since this is
my first Honda (already did the timing belt-whew!) is it best to get...

How to replace wiper squeegees? by
Roger
(2000 Accord ex)
Ok, I thought I'd be smart and replace only the squeegees, but I can't
for the life of me figure out how to. The little metal "claws" seem dug
into the old squeegees, and I don't see any little clip, locks,
releases, buttons, snaps, etc. to release the old squeegee, just...

Changing Timing belt by
[email protected]
89 civic. I went to a shop and asked about the leaking.
The man told me it is the engine oil is leaking not coolant.
He said it's about $400 to fix the timing belt, camshaft seal
and water pump. I asked him it's bit expensive for 16 yr old car.
He said that he used a good part and warned me not to...

SadaYama
2000Accord-EX-56K-5Spd: I am planning to do the Coolant Flush, as
described in the owner's manual. I have 2 questions:
Where can I buy the torque wrench, which sets pressure for Drain Plug,
and the Engine Block Nut. Can someone suggest me what to buy and where,
please.
I am still looking hard,...

OE steel wheel weight for Accords? by
Charles Lasitter
I can't seem to come up with a table or chart showing the weight of the
OE steel wheel for my '05 LX 4Cly. It's the last number I need for
figuring combine tire / wheel weight of upgrades versus OE.
Thanks in advance for pointing me to a relevant URL.

I have a 93 Honda civic. The temperature meter stays at the regular
positions for some time and then moves very fast to the highest level. It
happens especially when I drive on highways. What is causing this?

ticking from AC fan in Civic by
Konyoman
I have a 98 civic and the AC fan recently starting making a "ticking" noise
when on..it is more noticeable on the #1 setting...Any ideas what it could
be?? In the past, a leaf got in there somehow and had to be removed..
Is there an easy way to get at this thing? Is it behind the glovebox?

If one is stopped in a traffic jam with the hybrid, and the engine
goes off, does a/c cooling stop as well (I mean the condenser, not the
fan)?

19997 Accord EX timing belt woes by
JMK3rd
Hi,
Against my better judgment, I had the timing belt/water pump replaced by a
'friend of a friend'. Now, the engine seems to be a bit down on power and
it's got a pretty noticeable vibration at speed.
I know...I already feel stupid... :)
I took it back to the 'friend of a friend' and he...

94 accord High idle when driving, low idle when stopped. by
Matt
I own a 94 accord ex with 300 000 km. When I am driving and press in
the clutch and coast, my rpms are generally 1800-2500. When I come to
a complete stop, they drop down and almost stall before bumpimg up to
about 800rpm. While I am stopped, it will continue going up and down,
some times to the...

Anyone here do their own 15K & 30K scheduled maintenance? by
[email protected]
I am fairly mechanically inclined and do minor repair work on my car,
referencing my service manual. I am getting tired shelling out $275+
for 15K and 30K scheduled maintenance intervals at the dealer, yet I
think they are important to keep my car in good shape (especially at
140K miles). In my...

Smell gas--'05 Civic by
Doug
Hi,
Today when I started my car after digging it out of snow, I smelt gas.
Since I am a very first time Honda owner, I am not sure if this is
usual for a car with barely 2000 miles on it. I'd love to hear your
opinion. Thanks!
BTW, I also own a Jetta. When I started it just now, I did not...

"Curb Crud" vs handling considerations? by
Charles Lasitter
Tires have specs for section width, rim width, and rim width range.
(Plus lots of other stuff).
Looking at a Pirelli PZero Nero 225/45-WR17, it lists a rim width of
7.5" and a rim width range of 7-9".
If this wide tire were mounted on a 17x7" wheel, it would seem that
the sidewalls would...
