156 radiator by
Ppelectron
Just wondering if anyone has tried replacing the radiator in a 156 (V6 with
aircon)? Is it a straightforward job or a 3 hour one as I was told by Alfa? Any
idea whether the metal plate directly above the radiator (looks like part of
the car chassis / body to me) needs to be removed in order to get...

156 Child seat advice please by
Martin
Hi,
Going to be getting a new child seat for my son soon (currently 7 months,
but BIG!), want him to stay rear facing as long as possible, but it looks
like I will need to get a next stage seat by around 9 months.
Anyone got any views on car child seats (9 months-4 years) for the 156...

About to buy Alfa 155 - advice? by
Hellraiser
Just about to get a 155, and am nervous about how many of them have had
rebuilt engines - do they tend to go bang often? I know cambelts are a
weakness, but are they better or worse than other cars for shredding belts?
What's the reliability like, as I will need it to go to work and back 5 days
a...

ALFA 146 workshop manual? by
MOK
I don't think HAYNES do a workshop manual for the 146. Could someone please
tell me if there are any other manuals of a similair type to the HAYNES
ones which cover DIY maintenance of the 146.
Thanks in advance

IT'S SIMPLE AND IT'S LEGAL!!!!!!! I found this on a bulletin board and decided
to try it a little while back; I was browsing through news groups just as you

Oil in water, 156 V6, blown headgasket? by
Dag
Hi
I got a 156 V6 that has run about 130k km. I checked the cooling tank some
days ago and found the regular trace of a blown headgasket. Brown gel
underneath the coolingtank cap.
I've checked this at three garages, and the two first told me it was a blown
headgasket, and a repair must be done...

156 CD changer by
Simon C
Gareth
I have the 2.4JTD from 2002 with the same sound system and as far as I can
remember, you will need an Blaupunkt changer unit and all the wiring already
exists in the rear of the car.
If you lift the carpet in the boot, you should find the wiring under there.

Sportwagon 2.4 JTD by
Morten Fossum
Hi,
I'm about to try a 2001 Sportwagon 2.4 JTD for a possible buy. I've had two
Alfas earlier (a 90 2.0 and a 164 3.0), and I've driven a Selespeed, but
I've no experience with the diesel versions.
Any advice about this car. I've seen the 2.4 advertised with 136, 140 and
150 hp, and of course the...

Totalled by

Two weeks ago, on the way to Gatwick Airport to catch a holiday flight
with my kids, I had a coming together with a Fiat and a Toyota and the
result is that my beloved 156 2.0l TS is a "Total Loss".
At least we were all pretty well unhurt and we made the flight in the
nick of time due to a highly...

Article in present edition of "Classic & Sports Car" here in UK. An
education for someone who knows very little about them.
Speaking of which, is there a definitive guide to classic Alfas inc. typical
