SPARK PLUGS??? by
[email protected]
I sure feel stupid asking this question but here it is. I have a 2001 GT
with 81 thousand miles on it. I want to install a new set of spark plugs
but where the hell are they located??? Is it a major job to get at all
of the plugs??? Should I go to the dealer and pay $$$ instead of trying
to do it...

cleaner by

Any recommendations on a good chrome cleaner?
I've got 33 yrs. of oxidization. I'm trying to clean the exterior door
chrome molding.
I've tried rubbing compound, goof off, "never dull" (which worked
fantastically on the interior chrome) and a couple off the shelf 3m chrome
cleaners. All cleaned the...

1988 GT T-top production numbers by
Chewbackup
I've been lurking here for a while, seem like some of you regulars know
resources about Mustangs pretty well. As my subject says, I am looking for
the production numbers for the 1988 t-top mustang. I did the usual google
searches and cant really find what im looking for, any info on prod would...

8.8 rear end questions by
elaich[_3_]
My '83 GT has a Turbo Coupe 8.8 in it, and it's grinding. It only grinds
when making a turn, and only after the car has been driven for awhile. All
the info I can find suggests that thelube is worn out/too thin, and that
seems to be the case. When I drained it, it was quite thin looking. I...

2005 Saleen by
Nicholas D
Anyone take a look at the new Saleen yet? It's pretty nice I just think that
the rear taillights could be better. IMO a retro looking car should either
share the three lights on each side or something reminiscent of the Shelby's
with sequential going across the back. I can't wait to see what the...

'66 Brake Upgrade by
.boB
Well, I decided it was time to upgrade my ’66 Coupe.
Nothing fancy, no blowers or NOS (yet). Anyway, every
old car like this needs better suspension, brakes, and
steering before adding more power. This is a daily
driver street car, and certainly not a race car. I
also didn’t want to spend...

Cigar Lighter blowing fuses by
wf81
My 1972 Mustang Coupe likes to blow fuses.
I bought a new lighter and element installed them, after cleaning all the
rust and filth, when I push the lighter in the fuse blows. I've run
continuity between the power and ground, ground is good and the power only
grounds when the lighter is pushed...

Mercury Needs A Cougar, NOW! by
[email protected]
Interesting commentary.
----
Remember the Cougar? Not the oddly-shaped front-wheel drive Cougar of
2000 nor the big-bodied Thunderbird clone, nor even, God forbid, the
huge sedans and wagons wearing "the sign of the cat," but the 1967
original? Motor Trend's Car of the Year was created from the...

8.8 rear 28 or 31 spline axles by
RSCamaro
Not having the best of days today. I just finished putting my 8.8
rear out of my 00' Mustang GT Vert. back together. I ordered Superior
Gear axles which arrived at 31 splines. Removing my axles I find a
rather large differance in the dia. at the c-clip end. 28 vs. 31
spline. No help from...

2004 Mustang Oil Filter by
Big Duke[_2_]
Hi all,
I just took my Mustang to a local shop for a oil & filter change. It's the
3.9 liter V6 model. The correct Ford filter is a FL 400S. The shop put on
a number SL 20195 filter non Ford. I can seem to find any information on
this filter or a cross reference chart to make sure its the...

Jasper crate engines? by
Wound Up
I've heard good things about Jasper motors, and am considering one for
next year. I think the Paxton blower is probably not the best way to
go.... well... maybe later on ;)
Has anyone bought one of these? Do you know if the advertised HP and TQ
are accurate? I always heard that a rule of thumb...
