TIP: Buying a car from a dealer on Ebay by
Backyard Mechanic
Well, the third times the charm...
My son lives in LA and drives a nice leased car but he wanted a 'roughing
it' vehicle to use when he visited development sites and for occasional
'hauling purposes'
He always liked the older Jeeps and set out to buy a late 60, early 70
Commando.
He bid on two.....

It's A Crazy [HP] War by
[email protected]
500-600 Hp Cadillacs are in the pipeline and on the drawing
board...it's crazy!
---
Though we'd hardly consider the Cadillac CTS V-Series ordinary, it's
clear this version is well beyond that performance CTS.
We last encountered the CTS Super V in testing at the Nürburgring
("Spied: Super V!, May...

2001 Bullitt rims on '05 V-6? by
[email protected]
A friend of mine has a pretty nice '05 V-6 Mustang. He says that one of
the mechanics at the local Ford dealiership (Jim Keay Ford, Orleans,
Ontario, Canada) has told him that the optional '01 GT (Bullitt) rims
won't fit on his car because they will interfere with the brake
calipers. Does anyone...

Where do I sell my new Mustang? by
dlkaj;dfkl
I wrecked my Subaru WRX back in July, nearly killed myself, cervical
collar for 3 months, bottom line: bought an '06 Mustang GT (Premium)
coup at the end of Dec. Get a sweet letter from the CA DMV 1 week
later stating that my license was about to be revoked due to negligent
driving. Had the...

Fumoto Oil Drain Plug 4 '98? by
[email protected]
I'll be going to my son's this weekend to "help him" with some car
repairs.
He bought a Mustang awhile back ('98 V6-232 3.8). I've helped with a
couple of repairs on it, but I'm not real familiar with it and he's not
much of a mechanic, but he's slowly catching on.
Anyway, one of the things we'll...

GT-40 Intake Question by
Dave Wick
I bought a used GT-40 intake (true GT-40, not the Cobra intake some confuse
with the GT-40) and I'm stumped on some of the vacuum fittings under the
plenum. I took the stock upper manifold off of my '89 GT and the fittings
don't seem to be the same. Should I be T-lines to get enough connections...

SVT/GT500 News by
[email protected]
Beginning with this summer's introduction of the 2007 Shelby GT500, the
Ford brand will let all its dealers sell Special Vehicle Team vehicles.
Now, only a limited number of SVT-certified dealers can sell the
high-performance vehicles.
The change could help Ford sell more high-performance cars...

Kate hon, are you still around?
If ya are, I could use some of your knowhow. Just bought a new 2005 V6
Ragtop. Mineral Grey with a black top. I sure could use some advice on
how to clean and maintain that top so it'll be as pristine as the one on
Shug.
Thanks!

GT500 Production Run by
Joe
So at the car show tonight, the guy doing the schtick for the GT500 says
there will be a 2-year run, and 1400 units will be made with a possible
max of 1650. Don't know if that's per year or for both years, but it's
pitiful either way. Based on this, if you weren't on the waiting list
when it...
