72 Beetle Dead Short by
Elvin Rambaran
Hi. I have a 72 Beetle that is suffering from a dead short. As soon as the
ignition is turned on, fuse number 2 blows. Then, of course, there is no
positive power to the coil and the car will not start. What confuses me here
is that the wire (white in color) from fuse 2 goes into a black box...

Newly Rebuilt 1966 Engine Oil Leak by
[email protected]
Hi. I recently had an original F block '66 engine completely rebuilt
by Archway Imports here in St. Louis. Supposedly they do very good
work. The engine runs great, near as I can tell, and has been bored
out to 1600 for more power. Fuel consumption seems rather high, but I
don't really know...

34 PICT/3 Carb Parts by
Randall Brink
I had a mishap this morning, whereby my engine backfired through the
carburetor and blew a small disc out of an aft-facing port on the
carburetor. I cannot find the disc. Can these be bought at a normal parts
store? This is a Pierburg carb.

New user is working on the bug, but having some trouble by
Jeveretts
Here's where we are, I bought the '72 Super with a 1600DP, I put on a
bugpack header and turbo muffler, removed the incorrect 30/31 PICT,
and put a very good used 34PICT-3 on in it's place. Iv'e got it
running pretty well, and it is very driveable, I can't seem to be able
to get the timing right...

Adding delay to wipers by
Mike Rocket J. Squirrel Elliott
I wanted to add delay ("intermittent operation") to the Wonderbus's
windshield wipers. The Wonderbus has a 12V system, with 2-speed wipers
and dash-mounted switch. I purchased and assembled a Velleman wiper
delay kit, soldered the bits onto the circuit board, and wired it in and

difficulty shifting bus by

My 76 Westy is having difficulty shifting, especially into reverse. The
clutch normally does go to the floor, I'd like to tighten the cable is it
in the same place as a bug?
