C4 Power Increase Suggestions by
Mike Cenni
Gentlemen. I have a 1993 Convt C4 "Black Rose" 6 speed with 15k miles. I
love the car and plan to keep it for quite a while. It is totally stock. If
I wanted more horsepower, meaner exhaust note and better brakes what would
you suggest. I took the car around Road America last year. NO...

Diminished Value????? by
A Reader
I didn't know you could collect for the reduced market value of your car
after an accident repair, but the articles at www.claimsreporter.com say you
can. I know most people will not buy a car with a bad Carfax unless it's
offered at a big discount. Anyone else know about this stuff?

96 Oil Pressure Problem by
[email protected]
I have a 1996 LT4 and the oil pressure guage now reads zero at idle
after the car's warmed up. It's normal once I come off idle. This is
a new "feature".
The dealer did a manual pressure check and my actual oil pressure is
normal at all operating ranges.
I have replaced the pressure sensor...

"Total Loss" lowballing 1127 by
Just Getting Square
Apparently, insurance company repairs as well as 'total loss' claims are lowballed as a general practice. I just read an article at www.claimsreporter.com that says that you can get on average, the ~$2K difference needed to get a replacement ride (vs. trade-in)... for sure, if it was not your...

Has anybody ever had a new pilot bearing that was too tight on the tranny

Thanks for any help.

c3 brakes by
G
Hello,
I'm having a problem with a 74 I picked up this spring. The rear brakes are
practically not working. The front brakes work great. I get a lot of
travel in the pedal and it seems soft. I replaced the rear calipers as one
of them was hissing and bubbling brake fluid. I've bled the system...

Replace starter or just solenoid by
RP
I have a 96 LT1 that has a solenoid that's going out. Wondering if it is
best to replace the whole starter or just the solenoid??? Does anybody
have experience replacing one or the other? Wondering how difficult it
would be to do.
Thanks in advance for any advice you can provide.

Cars From $100 by

Every month thousands of cars become government & bank property
through various seizure/surplus laws. Because of the constant influx
of vehicles and the enormous expense to store them, the cars must be
sold fast and cheap! Buy direct from the sources and save
considerably! Bids on new and used...

Standard 'vette convertible. Only 40k miles and nothing too special in
terms of options. But, I've just installed the fourth battery in four
years. Each spring the battery is completely dead though I try to
start the car once or twice a month during the winter. It's garage

C5 Convertible - Too tall :( by
[email protected]
I'm in the market for a used C5 or C6. Anyway I had a line on a
beautiful 2001 convertible, probably would have made an offer on it,
but one problem. I think my torso is too tall for it. When I first
got in it my head was hitting the bar in the soft top, I managed to
lean the seat back and move it...

Has anyone driven the paddle shifter .... that is used to driving a

Tie-rod ends by
PJ
Sorry, don't have the prior post/thread on this computer.
Someone posted regarding a click that happened in a C5 or C6 during
turns. IIRC, post said that dealer diagnosed it as tie-rod ends and
replaced all of them.
My '02 was in for a routine tire check yesterday & they found a loose

c6 by

Saw a 05 c6 red. I love that car. Honestly, it is only a couple
thousand less then a new one. New one, I can lease and leave the cash
in the bank. Used, I have to take the money out of the bank, so I
think I am going new.
Ok, I dont like to haggle. Best place to go for a lease in NY...
