Creating an Auto-off headlight circuit in an 88 Spder Veloce by mcardlejl
Hey all, I typically drive a Honda or Volvo but have been driving a US spec 88 spider veloce more and more regularly. The Honda and Volvo both have lights that turn off when you take the key out of the ignition, so basically you just turn them on and leave them on and they are on when you drive...

Loud squeak from 147 fron suspension by Peter Hawkins
Noticed recently going over bumps that front nearside suspension on my 2001 147 is giving a loud "squeak" which is getting progressively worse. Are there bushes on the double wishbone 147 front or something else that may be suffering wear and tear? Thanks Peter Hawkins

Risen from the dead by Brian Sanderson
ok, as a newcomer to the group (and not presently owning an alfa...although I *have* owned two GT coupes)...I must apologize if this has been posted before. The Canguro. or, as I refer to it: The Most Beautiful Alfa Ever Made. www.ultimatecarpage.com has some pretty good pictures.

Just polished the 156 by SteveH
3 hours with a random electric polisher, a bottle of T-cut and a bottle of black colour magic. Well worth the effort: http://www.italiancar.co.uk/polished/156002.jpg http://www.italiancar.co.uk/polished/156003.jpg http://www.italiancar.co.uk/polished/156004.jpg

Alfa 33 16v Cloverleafs, that is. Makes me wish I'd had mine fixed, rather than flogging it as 'spares or repairs' on ebay.... Wonder how many 75s are left these days? -- SteveH 'You're not a real petrolhead unless you've owned an Alfa Romeo' www.italiancar.co.uk - Honda VFR800 - Hongdou GY200...

a bad decision.... by simon steel
Can confirm that fords that are 1'6" deep will wreck Alfa 156 diesel engines. It was a bad decison to take a shortcut through the lanes via the ford. (which I've been through a few times before) Thankfully I made it all the way out before the car died.... Car is at the dealer awaiting...

Rear light on all the time by Murmansk69
A friend of mine has an Alfa T-Spark not sure what model - two door thing that looks like vaguely like a Honda Civic to me and it's about five years old The problem is that one of the rear lights is on all the time and she has to take the bulb out as it's the only way of not having the light on....

88 Spider - Removing A/C equipment by mcardlejl
Hey, I just noticed my car has A/C equipment. I probably can get all the equipment out of the engine bay but was wondering if there was anything special I needed to do that might not be obvious... I'd hate to pull all the crap out then not have my car run. If there are any tricks I'd really...

A funny thing..... by Bald eagle
.....happened to the GTV this morning. When I got in the clutch pedal seemed further away - my first instinct was to adjust the seat. In fact it was partly depressed and attempts to engage reverse produced a graunching noise. The gear lever wouldn't move at all into any other gear. Eventually...

Bonnet cable.... again by SteveH
I've done a lot of searching, but can't find anyone who sells 75 bonnet cables. Does anyone know if they're still likely to be available from main dealers? - I know I don't, technically, need one for the MOT - but I reckon any tester would be a tad ****ed off at having to fiddle around to pop the...
