92 Civic, no heat? by KWW
Have '92 Civic LX, 4 dr automatic with A/C. I've kept the cooling system correctly (drain/fill with Honda antifreeze- following directions on bottles). OK, the A/C needs to be recharged, but if we turn OFF the A/C button and the engine registers that it is warm (on the gauges), shouldn't there be...

Fresh/Recircularing Air buttons do not work by [email protected]
I have a 93 accord AT and both the recirculating and fresh air buttons do not work. It is currently stuck in Recirc mode. A pain because if it is raining or humid the windows fog and I hate running the AC all the time or open the window if it is raining. Every other button on the climate control...

Inconsistent ABS light by Mike
My 94 Integra's ABS has recently been acting funny. The ABS light will stay on after I start up the car, but only about 50% of the time. It seems random whether the ABS will stay on or turn off like it should. My car was backed into a few weeks ago while it was parked. The impact was at the front...

Hood insulation / engine heat thinking by gmccx
I own a 95 black (pearl) Del Sol. Over time, the combination of engine heat and (probably) heat from the sun in the summer combined to sort of 'burn' a light-ish section of the hood exterior. (the area was in a bit of a circle and looked like a dirty silver) I have recently had most of the car...

1996 UK Honda Accord - rear 6x9 speaker removal by Springy
Hi, I have just purchased a new car and am stripping out my after-market car stereo from my 1996 UK Honda Accord. I've removed the head unit, amp, and sub, and only the 6x9's remain. However, I had the 6x9's installed by a car audio specialist and am not sure on how to get them back out! The...

servicing older honda cars in Ireland& source for Headlamp Deflectors for LH drives? by James
Hi all: I just wanted to get a 1992 civic serviced for nct/mot purposes, very well defined issues like tightening the parking break and aligning the lights. I was told by local Honda dealer that they do not service Honda's older than 1998 and it is their policy. I know it is not difficult to get...

Honda Civic Dx special edition vs Civic Dx? by Prelude
Is the engine in the Honda Civic Dx special edition any different than the engine in the Dx? I just had my special ed.'s engine changed, and the new (used) one seems to sound more harsh, almost like a small diesel engine. Is that normal?

RSX Type-S by Pars
It's just after midnight on an extremely cold night (-23 Celsius) and the wife and me are heading downtown to pick-up some Chinese food from Rol San. The roads are glossed over with the black and dangerous stuff, with a thin layer of snow floating above the icy menace. The streets are almost...

Electric fan always on by F1
'88 1.5L HB, 215,000 kms. I noticed that my fan is on all the time (even from a cold southern Ont. morning start). I did recently swap out a short piece of 5/8" hose that was cracked and leaking and I'm sure I bled it properly. Is it the sensor then? Many thanks, Mike
