OT - 225 and counting :-( by
Frank_v7.0
My message filter (in Mozilla Thunderbird) has deleted 225 messages in
this group since last night. I haven't been keeping exact counts, but
I'm sure the previous "high" count was in the 80s. I sincerely hope all
the good folks in this group have and are using message filters and/or
kill files....

Trail(er) trash by
R. Lander
The "respect" for nature shown by offroad enthusiasts is documented by
all the cans, bottles and wrappers they toss on scenic trails. The
Rubicon near Lake Tahoe shows how these anthropocentric mouth-breathers
view the land. They can't be bothered carrying a trash bag and packing
it out. No room in...

NAPA brake recommendations? by
Garth Almgren
It's about time for me to do my first brake job on Muky, and looking
at NAPA Online it looks like they carry 4 different grades of brake
pads: (in order from least to most expensive) Tru-Stop, Safety Stop,
AE, and AE Severe Duty Metallic. Anybody have a recommendation, or any
reason why not to go...

1980 Jeep CJ-5 / Electrical questions by
James[_3_]
I have a 1980 Jeep CJ-5. I recently learned that my cigarette
lighter is not working. It is not getting voltage.
In the same week, I found that my interior lights (underneath the dash) do
not work. I replaced the bulbs, just to make sure. These are the lights
that turn on when you...

Possible Trolls? by
Eric
Does anyone else wonder if the sudden rash of posts about issues with the
new hemi are from trolls? I mean, c'mon, the GC isn't the only vehicle with
the hemi (Magnum, Dodge P/U, etc.). Not saying it is or isn't true, but it
just seems like there are a few "newbies" posting the same things. If...

highway rear axle hopping by
[email protected]
I'm sure this has happened to others--a 1993 Jeep Cherokee 5 speed
with standard tires/wheels--while crossing bridge expansion joints or
moderate broken pavement at 50mph or faster, the rear axle starts
jumping up and down uncontrollably. The only way to stop it is to
slow down below 35 mph. It...

Official Hughes rebuttal thread by
Archie Leach[_10_]
Be it known that any boilerplate-homophobic screedbomb Hughes posts to
this thread, is automatically refuted, with any accusations of
"queerness" or "girlyness" being automatically redirected towards Lou
Ellen Hughes herself.

Shock Absorber Leaking HELP! by
Jay
Hi again,
Well it looks like I have a further problem with my 1996 Cerokee! After
taking a back-road home last night which although was a little bumpy it
wasn't that bad, I noticed this morning that I have an oil leak under the
Jeep. It looks like it is coming from the shock absorber
Here is a...

Oil prices got you down? by
Cherokee-Ltd
From another thread that was veering off-topic...
Besides untreated water, name another liquid you can get for $1.50/gallon.
Bill had mentioned California diesel prices hitting $3.00/gallon in another
thread.

YJ Breaks down - Bad Triple AAA Experience. by
Lou Boncek
I figure I'd put this ins seprate post, because it is sort of a rant, and
some people won't want to read it.
Last year my 90 YJ Blew a water pump and AAA had an independent tow truck to
me in less that 30 minutes, polite tow person, offered me his cell phone to
make arrangements with garage,...

2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.7 Engine stalling by

I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.7 liter engine. 205,000 miles.
Engine has been literally perfect until last six months or so.
In the last week, engine has stalled three times, at very slow idle, or very
low speed. I have NO problems starting the engine. Today, while
traveling

93 Jeep Grand Cherokee Cranks, But No Start by
Casper
My 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee recently started having starting issues. At
first it would start after 2-3 tries, but now it continually takes
longer and longer to get it to turn over. First I thought it was the
battery (weak or being drained), but after a full recharge and
replacment, the problem...

Heated Garage or not? by
Kevin S
I just had the heater man out to fix my heat, and I talked to him about
adding a heat register for my garage. He said he could probably add it for
$200-$300 and it would just use hot water returning to the boiler from any
of the other zones, so it would essentially heat a bit anytime an of...

Nice thing about Hughes' posts by
Craig Scheiner
All you have to do is look at the size of his posts and you know if they are
C&P and you don't have to bother opening them to know what they say.
