I'm looking into getting a used '88 to '89 C4, but I'm only just now getting into the early stages of looking around. I'm a complete nube so I'm looking for a starting point to get some background on what I should be avoiding and what I should be expecting. I'm based in Melbourne, Australia, so...

1980 RPM's by Jimmy Vette
I have a 1980 coupe with an auto transmission & 350 motor. I was wondering what the RPM's should read on the tach when cruising at 60 MPH. My car is running at around 3200 which seems a bit high & my gas milage is terrible. I was thinking it should drop down to around 2200. Could this be a trans...

How to Increase the C6 turn signal tic tic tic by aRKay[_4_]
I really like the new (to me) C6 but the turn signal sound (tic tic tic) is so low it is just about useless. Its there something like an old fashion flasher relay that can be changed to increase the sound level of the tic tic tic. It is swamped out by the engine and dual mode exhaust. Are the...

Parking lot Rage by Mikep
So here I am parking in the Home Depot parking lot - for our international readers, Home Depot is a very large store that sells home improvement products. And they have a LARGE parking lot. So I head off to the farthest space in the lot in my X5 (keeping on topic for the BMW NG) - maybe 200...

Bagging car for storage by brian
Hey all, I have a C6 that I store for the summer while away. I have been just leaving it with a car cover in a carport (in San Diego) with a battery tender and things have gone fairly well except for a little mouse activity. But this has been a very good year for the little beasts and their larger...

I got 'round to installing the new hatch weatherstrip yesterday. It all went fine until I tried to close the hatch. I thought I was going to break the glass trying to slam it down, but, it finally closed. I called a friend in the local club and he said to leave it shut for a few days so the...

On Monday, I drove into town in my '93 40th Anniversary Corvette. It was hot, very hot. On the way home, I noticed the outside temperature was 115F. Then, I noticed that the car was running a little rough. Quickly, the engine temperature started to climb. I know that I should have stopped, but...

GM airbag crash data black box......you need to know this. by LoganDiagnostic
GM and Saturn cars record crash data. You can often get the last 5 seconds of vehicle data. Dealers are not able to collect the crash data. You need the Vetronix CDR, it can be seen here- http://www.airbagcrash.com Any questions about the crash data, black boxes etc. We will try to answer.

'04 speaker replacement by TF
The same dealer that put a small hole in my rocker panel is going to replace my speakers. I'd rather not even let them see my car again, but they have to fix the rocker and at same time they are going to replace two blown/crackly speakers. (I actually think it's possible something is not hooked...
