[email protected]
my mechanical training ground was in bicycles, where good mechanics
lubricate basically every fastener. grease, antiseize, and occasionally
oil go on everything. (the obvious advantages are correct feel for the
torque, no galling, decreased corrosion, etc)
in cars, i never find any mention of...

Lawrence Glickman

2nd O2 sensor in each bank was for, as I answered, it is to monitor
catalytic converter efficiency.
bob questioned that, and said that was true for cars "10 years ago."
bob the nitwit, never came back with an answer regarding...

HumVee armor kits - how heavy? by
JJ
Okay, "up armoring" the HumVees is big in the news.
Most people are like "jeez, why aren't all of them armored?"
Some others who seem to be more in the know are saying that
performance and longevity will be reduced because these armor kits are
heavy.
Anybody know how heavy these are?

John Diamond
I have a 96 Lincoln Mark 8. I don't care for my current headlights, which
are metal halide bluelights.
My question: Is it possible to convert them over to regular halogen
headlights. If so, how would I go about this?
Thank you!

Bart
Yesterday the automatic transmission began "sticking" in second gear.
It always shifted hard but now, unless you really ease the throttle, it

I know these cars have had tranny...

92 Mazda Protege oil in the coolant by
[email protected]
There is oil sludge in the coolant reservoir but not in the radiator
and the check engine light turns on after 10 minutes of driving at 120
km/h or 70 mph. Is it a head gasket job or do I need a new engine?
Car has 150,000 km or 90,000 miles.
