Stolen '68 Westfalia by Ben Goren[_1_]
Sometime between about 9:30 last night and 10:30 this morning, my '68 Westfalia pop-top was stolen from in front of my apartment near Priest & University in Tempe, Arizona. I'd very, very, very much appreciate any leads as to where it is...my parents got it in '79, and it's the first car I...

Low brake pedal by azazel scratch
Over the past few weeks I noticed that the brake pedal was low on my 1974 Super Beetle so I removed all 4 drums and inspected the shoes. Turns out that the shoe linings on the right rear drum were worn almost to the metal. I installed new Raybestos shoes all around and while one wheel cylinder...

1966 Beetle Suspension Improvement by Roy
Hi. My '66 Beetle rides like crap. The shocks are no doubt toast--for all I know they could be the originals --so I'm going to be replacing them. But is there anything else I should consider to improve the ride, espcially in the rear end department? Thanks in advance. Roy

Hello! I've been hanging around here off and on for a looong time, but I finally have a VW of my very own that I could use some advice with. Last week I spotted a cute blue Beetle on the side of the road for sale. When I stopped and looked at it I thought it might have been Mexican, as the engine...

It has all new brakes, new hardware, shoes, drums, all new rubber hoses, even to the fluid reservoir. I replace all the rubber fuel line with fuel injection rated fuel hose, even under the...

leaky gas line by Jeff Barnes
The metal gas line in my car is leaking drop by drop. How do you spice a rubber tube to repair it? can you cut the rubber tube and add a stainless steel clamp over it? They do this to water main repair but they bury it and it stays nice.

We need more battle-VWs in Iraq!!! by Ed Zagmoon
We can only win the war in Iraq with VWs, battle-VWs, modified like those vehicles in "The Road Warrior". That's our last chance. The prophecies say that a VW will save the day or we are doomed.
