m_inbody
I have a bus that I am having trouble shifting the manual transmission. I
would like some information on possible solutions to my shifting problems.
It is like the clutch is not engaging properly and I do not know how to
adjust it, or if it is something else that needs worked on. I am...

mirror directionals. by
crusader
we added amber directional lights to the side mirrors on my wife's ghia.
they are great!
we were worried that the front directionals were not too visible when
the halogen headlites were on. they are on almost all daylight hours
here in the foggy Northcoast.
now , we know people can see them.

reliabiltiy of beetles on the interstate by
[email protected]
I was wondering if my 76 fuel injected beetle could handle daily
driving on the interstate in Kansas City. I'm moving there next month
and my 2nd car I use in the winter is breaking down and I just want to
get rid of it. The beetle will have to make a 2 1/2 hour drive to KC
and back fairly...

Hot engine and difficult to tune by
Howard Rose[_1_]
The original 30PICT-1 carburettor in my 1966 1300 was leaking from the
throttle shaft. It hasn't been running right for quite some time, and
was getting low MPG. Now my 1303 is out of action, I need to get this
sorted!
The replacement 30PICT-1 carburettor was pulled from a 1972ish Beetle
I found...

Blown Crankcase Question by
ivanogburn
I have an opportunity to purchase a 1972 Type 3 Fastback. The previous
owner swapped out the Type 3 engine for a larger Type 4. According to
the owner it has run for years this way, but he had lost track of the
oil level and then blew the crankcase.
What I would like to get a handle on is, how...

VW Magazines by

Are there any VW air-cooled mags out there? I've done a few net searches and
turned up nothing. I'd really like to subscribe to something that pertains
to air-cooled restorations.
Thanks

to investigate and reaching behind to the fan, I could wiggle it a bit
side to side. Bad bearing.
Last night, I pulled the generator and dissassembled it. Yes, the
bearing was bad so I replace both the front and...
