fiat by Jim.GM4DHJ ......
The Fiat Challenger just doesn't sound right ...... -- I know I live in my own little world, but it's OK - it's terribly nice, and they know me there.

Trans fluid smell inside after change by Mark G7#9
I changed out my ATF a month ago (manual trans on 2000 GT). Don't think I put in too much since I let the excess drain out of the top hole while the car was flat. All the bolts are super tight. No sign of leaks around the shifter. For some reason, there is a very strong smell of ATF inside the...

1967 Mustang Disc Brakes by Big Duke[_2_]
Hi all, A good friend of mine just bought a 1967 Mustang. The front brakes are disc. He and I are wondering did disc brakes come from the factory back in 1967? Do you think someone changed them out to disc brakes over the years? They look pretty old on the car and they do have some Ford...

Convertible Top Rubber.... by [email protected]
Hello All: What's the best stuff to use to attach the rubber seal to the metal frame of a convertible top on a 2K GT? The rubber on the rail over the driver's side back seat has come off and it will press right back on, but it comes loose again and falls off the next time I put the top...

Super-rich oil companies offered nothing to automakers by Rich
Their customers (automakers) left to hang, while they raked hundreds of billions $'s. The "people" had to bail them out. Odd, isn't it?

Opinions needed! - Blower needs overhaul by chuck
Opinions needed! Some plastic got in the supercharger oil and now the seals are waring out, will cost $700 to rebuild it. .. OR could get a new supercharger with a bypass for $3,000 to match new engine ?. Or I could sell the DOA mustang with SC to be fixed to a gearhead for $1,000

96 GT wiper problem by Deputy Dog[_2_]
The windshield wipers just gave up! Came out to go home from work, turned on the wipers and nothing! The intermittent feature has been working sportily over the last few weeks and now the whole bit is out. High beams and turn signals still work from the lever but just no wipers. Is there some...

[Q] 17" 2005-09 mags on 1997 GT by Troy (T-Merc) Mercury
Hi folks, Card's on the bar - I have a simple question (or two). 1) Would 17" mags/tires off a 2005+ Mustang GT fit on a stock 1997 GT, or would they rub? 2) Would these same 17" mags/tires off a 2005+ Mustang GT fit on a *my* 1997 GT, which has been lowered by about 2 inches?

Oil company math by Get lost
Five years ago. Oil, $47/barrel. Premium gasoline, $0.559/litre. Today: Oil, $48/barrel. Premium gasoline, $0.909/litre. It's nice of them in this time of economic problems to really pitch in like this.

U.S. Gov assumes responsibility for GM, Chrysler warranty repairs by [email protected]
Judging by past (non)responses to my posts on the Detroit bailout, no one in this group seems to be paying much attention to the on-going voyage of this ship of fools adventure. But this is the latest, that Pres. Oprompter included in his stern (but finger-wag free) announcement re GM and Chrysler...

A question about performance chips by Dick R.
Reading other threads about replacing chips for better performance made me wonder if there were any of these chips on the 1984 Mustang/Capri 5.0s, or do we just tune the "old fashioned" way by checking the timing, adjusting the carburetor jets, etc.? Dick
