Consumer Reports: "Disappointing ION"... by
Warren
Hey group,
Just thumbed through a Consumer Reports Used Car Buying guide, and read
through the Saturn "S" series info. I recall when CR first reveiwed the SC
and accurately stated "the rear seats are not fit for any living creature"
but gave the car high marks elsewhere...but now, in this current...

Direction GM's taking Saturn by
J B
I was poking around the SaturnFans website to see threads regarding
tires, and noticed another thread: "The Death of Saturn". It was started
by what appears to be a fairly new saleslady who was tired of seeing
negative posts lamenting the direction GM has Saturn going in. Even
though I thought she...

Saturn VS Honda by
Blue Dragon
I drive a 1997 Civic, never any problem other than replace timing belt,
tires etc. Now have 180,000 miles and considering a Saturn. Honda gets
about 36 MPG, Could I expect the miles and this type of problem free driving
with a Saturn?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Oil question What the manual says, vs. what Dad says. by
TSMANGOD
Hi, all,
I have a 96 Saturn SL, and it's begun to burn oil when I really give it the
gas. I can see a cloud behind me. My Dad told me that I might be able to
alleviate that by using 10w40, instead of the 5w30 the manual calls for.
I live in Michigan, so it's going to get cold. Is there any truth...

radiator leak by
Mephistopheles Jones
I've got a 93 SL2 with a radiator leak. The ends of the radiator are
made of hard rubber, and there is a pinhole leak on one end. Anyone
know if the ends can be replaced, or do I need to get a whole new
radiator? I just epoxied the thing up so I can get around a little.

Consumer Reports and Saturn by
Dan[_33_]
I have a 1996 SL2 with 240k+ miles on it and just the normal wear & tear
problems. It has been the best new car I have had. I am now looking for an
SUV and the Consumer Reports negative view of the Saturn Vue concern me. Are
the Vue's from 2007 and newer worthy of the negative opinion?

rhythmic hesitation in '93 SL1 by
[email protected]
I have a '93 SL1 with 145k miles. It seems to have a worsening problem
with hesitation when going between 25-40 mph (2nd/3rd gear? it's
automatic transmission), and feels like it could stall. Yesterday was
noticeably bad, so I revved it up while idling and it has a regular
rhythmic hesitation...

Oil Independence Day 2006 by
Linda
High gas prices have created a new group of people -
"pump grumblers."
When pumping our high priced gas, we grumble words of
resentment, while feeling powerless. We need gas, so
we pay the price. Standing as a individual we are
powerless, but together our voices would be heard.
America is a strong,...

Punishing GM for killing electric car by
Bret Ludwig
Wouldn't be that hard.
The State of California could concoct some law whose real effect would
be to punish GM for its perceived perfidy. When the Governator goes, it
will become politically feasible.

Impossibly low emissions? by
[email protected]
My wife's 1992 Saturn SL1 was recently run through the treadmill
emissions test for Maryland, and they give us a printout with the
results.
The good new is, we passed easily.
My question is: are these readings unusually/impossibly low?

People Last by
marx404
As most of you here know, I work at a Saturn dealership. I think you might
find this interesting on how Saturn treats thier employees and thinks of
people.
Last Wed night while driving home down a dark I95 southbound, I drove into a
very heavy rainstorm. In a second's time, with no time to react,...

TOWING A SATURN- from theCONFUSING owners handbook ! by
misterfact
200s series page 247
Towing- when you call the towing service tell them:
"That your Saturn can only be towed with a vehicle carrier or
wheel lift tow truck"
Then on the next page (248) the idiots at Saturn contradict
themselves! They say that the car can be towed on "ALL 4 WHEELS"!
