SL2 woes. by
meloyellowjr
Hi guys,
I have a 94 SL2. The problem is I think I am having electrical
problems. for some weird reason, the engine will skip a beat
intermentally. Like as if no electricity is going to the spark plugs
(for a split second here and there)? It seems to get worse when it
is wet outside? But...

1992 SL2 with leak in condenser and dry line by
Mike McWhinney
Hello,
I have recently been having A/C problems in my 1992 Saturn SL2
(174,500 miles
and still trucking along, although hotter now). I took it to Saturn,
they charged it up for me with R134a (conversion valves/fittings
retrofit done by them previously). That set me back $70. It worked
pretty...

VUE Wheel Bearings by
Scott W. Petersen
My 2003 had a rear one replaced, looks like I am hearing the same
vibration again but at the front.
I think I am just over 20,000 miles.
What are you noticing that makes you think the bearings need
replacing?

I've owned my 96 SL2 with 84k from new by
Mike S
Hello-
The sun visor came out in my hand... while driving! I've I owned a few
cars in my time (some real old junkers too), never had one of these
fail before.
I unscrewed the plastic bracket to inspect it and see if I could repair
it. Plastic split... er nope. I removed the passenger side...

Does the PCM control the Traction Control by
Lee3333
When calibrating a new PCM, do you have to set anything regarding if the
car is equipped with traction control? Perhaps this is why mine does not
work after having a new computer installed.

Rear wiper motor by
R Miller
Has anyone replaced the rear wiper motor on a 99SW2? Mine stopped
working and I couldn"t find a blown fuse. Is it easy to take off the
plastic cover without breaking any plastic rivets? Thanks for any info.

2004 Vue problem by
REDMAYNARD
I have a 2004 AWD V6 Vue with about 4500 miles.
The problem: Just after starting up the cold engine, the instant I shift into
gear, the coolant light comes on, and stays on for about 3-5 minutes of normal
driving, and then turns off. The vehicle has never at any time been anywhere
near...

Coolant Temperature Sensor location by
stinknugget
I just bought a CTS (Part Number 385146) for my 2000 SL and I don't know
where it goes. It's a small piece about 2 inches long and has a two-pin
plug at one side. I believe it should thread into the block or radiator
somewhere but after looking under the hood for some time, I can't figure
it out....

2001 SL2 Bad Quill Bearing - no help from the Dealer by
Igor
2.5 month ago I bought a used Saturn SL2 (30,000 miles when bought). A
week ago I noticed that the clutch seemed to slip under acceleration.
Took the car back to the dealer and was told that "Quill bearing
leaked, ruined the clutch" - $1800. I have only driven the car 2850
miles since I bought it...

1998 Saturn SC2 by
Nicki
I have a 1998 Saturn SC-2. I just put a brand new engine in it with 70k
miles on it. Now it cranks, but will not start. Rocking it does not help,
and I don't know which or where the fuel relay is. If it is in the fuse
box, I am not sure which one it is. There are 4 right next to each other,...

A/C compressor seized by
Tim Shoppa
My wife's 92 SL1 had the the A/C compressor seize up on me Sunday morning.
I had driven it earlier with the A/C on, but when I started it up there
was this really annoying whine/squealing sound and smoke was coming out
from the front right of the car. Turned it off, popped open the hood,
and saw...

I just finished a blueprint ovehaul of my "94 SL2, and want to get a

I'm looking at getting chains for my SL1 Saturn. Any tips or thoughts?

such a beast? Is it safe to drive on the highway with them? Or should
they only be...

91 Odometer Goes Crazy! by
Orval Fairbairn
The odometer in my 91 SL-2 sticks and then goes into overtime, turning
over like a clock. The speedometer function does not appear to be
affected, however. Both the trip odo and regular odo exhibit the same
anomaly.
Anybody out there have an answer?

Replacing Front Wheel Bearing by
HyperCube33 \(Life2Death\)[_16_]
I am curious as to how much work it would be to replace the front wheel
bearing. As I've read, on Saturn's the bearings are pressed in - probably
should be done by a machine shop - but would only cost <$75 in parts. This
beats the $300 I was quoted at a auto repair place.
How long do stock...

2002 Vue - AC drainage question by
tmas
I just bought a 2002 Vue a few weeks ago. Overall I'm happy w/ it. I do
have one concern though... when I turn off the engine I hear a dripping
sound. It last for a few minutes. I'm wondering if this is the AC
drainage? I don't see any water dripping on the ground though? Anyone
know if this...

New poster by
Marc H.Popek
Hello all,
I have just turned my old 96 Tahoe and 98 cabrio into a 2005 L300. Very
nice car painless process. It has a longer length than expected ... means
tight fit in a normal cluttered garage.
Has some kind of Auto traction feature TRAC not sure exactly how it works,
or even if it is good...
