L300 wagon rumble by Art
My father bought a new L300 wagon with the V6 a few months ago. Nice car but the only thing I find obnoxious about it is the engine rumble when idling. Changing to neutral doesn't affect it. Turning off the ac doesn't change it either. It is a very loud low pitch hum thru out the car at...

What happended to the 200 series? by Steph
Just discovered that Saturn no longer offers the LW-200. Any links to press mentioning this? Sort of tanks my re-sale value. I have a 2001 LW-200 with the standard transmission and Leather. WE love it, but kinda sucks being one of the only ones out there with such a car (for maintenance).

replacing wheel after replacing brake pads by Mephistopheles Jones
I just replaced my front brake pads on a '96 SL1. After screwing the calipers in place, I noticed they now stick out away from the car and there is not enough room to put the wheels back on. I pressed the brake a few times (the first press was just air) and the problem is still there. Any...

2003 ION front turn signal/marker light by NoSetFine
MELTED! I thought it just bunrned out, followed the directions to pull the bulb - only the glass came off in my hands, leaving the base of the bulb firmly *welded* to the socket assembly... digging it out broke the socket! The other side is now looking the same - you can see it has already...

Suggested repairs by Girmann
Since my '99 SL2 has been going strong for 6 years with no major problems (2 sets of front discs, 1 set of rear drums, 2 sets of motor mounts, 4 tires) and I'm about to hit 100k this week, I took it into the dealership to get a once over to see what they thought I needed. Since I haven't had to do...

gas mileage on older Saturns by njot
I am facing driving a much longer commute and would like to get an older Saturn (1991-95) with a stick shift. What kind of gas mileage do these get, city vs. highway? My brother has a 92 sl2 with an automatic and it gets 25 city/35 highway. I would think the stick shift would be even...

Hello, I have a 97' I am trying to install a new horn on. The original horn stopped working and I am replacing the horn with an air horn. "We Are Still Saturn" by PerfectReign[_1_]
I got this in my in basket today. Interesting reading - especially between the lines. Dear Kai: From our very beginning, Saturn has always sought a better way. We pioneered no-hassle, no-haggle shopping, built dent-resistant cars, set a new benchmark for customer service and forged a unique...

2002 VUE Front windshield wash by Vince Brophy
I have a 2002 VUE. The front windshield washer control appears to be temperature sensitive. When below freezing and I pull the lever to clean the windshield, either: - nothing happens 80% of the time or - wipers move as designed 15% of the time or - miniscule amount of windshield cleaner makes it...

Cracked Cylinder Head on 1994 SL1 by Loretta
My SL1 has a cracked cylinder head at 73,000 miles. The repair will cost over $2000! This problem occurs often in 1994 - 1996 Saturns and the warranty was extended by Saturn because of the defect. However, my car is 10 years old and out of the extended 6 yr. warranty. Has anyone had Saturn pay for...

Synthetic Oil Questions by Gary
Do you think Saturn would kill my warranty if I wanted to use a synthetic or part synthetic oil like Mobil 1 or Clean 7500? I have the 2005 ION QC (not redline) and the manual is pretty explicit on regular oil, but I want to have this car last a good long time and the Clean 7500 is less than $3...
