Question for dealership auto techs by [email protected]
I work at a Chevy dealership. I was pulling a monstrous SUV into a tight stall and scraped the side. I am told that I need to pay for the $600 in damages. Shouldn't the dealership have insurance for this? This is the first time I have ever done this.

T10 (Muncie too?) Transmission: Synchronizing Hub Orientation? by Elle
Which way is the 1st/2nd Gear Synchronizing Hub (the part with the inserts, a.k.a. "keys" or "struts") supposed to be oriented? That is, which side faces the front? This hub is a sub-part of part #80 at www.drivetrain.com/transillgm_t10.html . It (or a similarly shaped one) is shown in the photo...

A friends car has failed the emission at 25/25 for HC (~250). It squeeked through 50/15 without much trouble. It's a 93 Plymouth Acclaim 6, so you know they ain't got much money! What would that point to? The 25/25 HC part, not the no money! Jeff

I have a 1966 Chevy II with a 6 cylinder engine in it. The engine has some small oil leaks that I want to correct. It's been over 30 years since I last rebuilt an engine and I don't recall the details of that effort. Of course good ol Dad was there then too. I'm most curious about how to...

AOD for 1970 Cougar by bob
I think i know the answer but worth asking if I am wrong. Will a tranmission from a 1984 Mercury Grand Marquis (assuming a 302 but not sure yet) fit a 1970 Cougar with 351c (currently an FMX tranny). I assume not but for $100 it's worth asking. Thanks, bobby

Any aftermarket performance add-ons/kits for Taurus? by Ken Moiarty
I just inherited (kind of) a V6 4-speed 2002 Ford Taurus. Nice family car for a family oriented driver. However, I'm not a family oriented driver. I'm not content with just getting from point A to B. I also like to drive for the sake of the pleasure and satisfaction that driving can often...
