Dowel lost within engine case!!! by
Vaughn M Hannon
I meant to post a follow up a while back. Thanks for the suggestions.
The compressed air didn't work. I don't know how far down in there
this thing is but it didn't pop out. Soooo...I'm getting a used
engine case. It's the right thing to do.

FS: Restored 71 Beetle in North East PA (Honesdale) - $4,500 USD by
ismlv
Hi all,
My cousin is a real estate appraiser and came across a 71 Yellow Bug this weekend. Looks to be in great shape from what I see in the
pictures. The man that restored it apparently did restorations in his garage but has since passed away. I'm told it's being sold for $4,500
USD.
If anyone...

MATT S.
Hi all,
I've searched the archives of RAMVA on best solutions to hold studs in
the carb body once they loosen and come out. - Especially the front
stud ( toward the front of the car. I know the rear stud can be held
in with a bolt and a nut)
I've found a few articles (about 3) mentioning loctitie...

Looking for 2100cc+ engine. Any Recommendation? by
Scott
I'm adding my 2nd dunebuggy to my collection. The first buggy is a
1600 Dual Port Autostick which works very well for street driving.
The power is OK and I really like the autostick, however I'm putting a
4 speed tranny and some more HP in the next buggy. I get the HOT VW
magazine and am familiar...

Brazilian Type 2 Kombi by
Tony Edge
Hi
I am trying to make contact with other Type 2 owners who have bought
their Kombi's imported from Brazil.
I feel we should maybe start a association\register to swap ideas etc.
Interested?

struggling with brakes... by
bug '59
Hi Ramva,
I've completed renewing the brake-lines and cillinders on my brothers 1302.
All things are changed exept the cillinders in the back, ('cause i didn't
have the proper wrench for the weel-nuts :-)).
The reason for a complete change is due to spongy brakes.... which still
are!!!!
The...

Starvin' for gas ? by
J Blair
Boys and girls, I am losing my mind over this problem and I hope that
the collected wisdom here will help save what shred of sanity I have
left. In a nutshell, when the engine is cold it runs fine, when it is
warm it idles fine, when I take it on the street it bucks and stalls
after about 5...
