Mustang V6s... by
XS11E[_1_]
I'm investigating the possibility of a used Mustang and I'm looking for
information on reliability and serviceability of various V6s used. I
know there was the 3.8, 4.0, 3.7 etc. is there one to avoid? One to
prefer?
NOTE: I'll probably look for a V8 but there seems to be a bunch of V6s...

Paging Michael Johnson by
Big Al[_3_]
Do you have any links to dyno curves for the modded Cobra/Lightning engines?
Looking for HP and torque and general "under the curve" specs. Nothing too
outrageous, just the guy's that change injectors and do easy mods.

I've got it bad... by

....lust for the new Shelby GT 500, that is. Financially it's probably going
to be a stretch, but I figure in about a year from now I could swing it. I
already feel guilty about wanting to replace my black 93 GT though. I bought
it new (my 3rd black GT) and have put 182,000 enjoyable miles, but the...

Tirade Tuesday: telemarketers and Bellsouth's "Privacy Director" by
JohnV@nn
OK I have one for Tirade Tuesday. Bellsouth has this
anti-telemarketing thing called privacy director (folks here in the
group may know about it). Anyway the idea is when someone calls whose
phone does not transmit their name or phone number via caller ID, their
call is answered by an automated...

New Mustang owner has question by

This being my first Mustang and first Ford for that matter, let me
address a simple issue for starters like tire pressure.
The door numbers probably don't mean much since the car has been
modified. It is a '71 Grande with a 351C, Top Loader tran and Mach1
drive train at 2.65 limited slip.

65 Mustang Engine Transplant by
[email protected]
Hello,
I'm looking for some opinions on the smallest useful engine that can be
transplanted into a 1965 ford mustang... Is it a stretch to say that a
honda accord engine might be compatible and/or even strong enough to
drive the mustang?
Or maybe the easier option is to modify the stang's 289 v8...

Pinging by
Car is pinging every new and then at full throttle... maybe 1/5 times. It's
very unnerving. Also, I'm losing about a 1/4 of a quart of oil every 3k
miles. I'm going to clean the air filter today, clean sensors, I already
replaced EGR valve. What else would you recommend I do? Thanks in...

Rotors... by
BradandBrooks
Took my 5.0 into Ford for some brake work - a little squeaking and a mushy pedal.
(Car is a 93 and has 36,000 miles. Original brakes as far as I know.)
Well, they replaced the front pads but said the rotors are not too good. Not worth replacing, but that they will "warp quickly". WHAT the HELL...

Gunky Ford steering wheels by
Wound Up
RAMFM,
Many of you are familiar with the sticky, gunk-collecting steering
wheels on 80s and 90s Fords, among others. What would you recommend in
terms of a cleaner or solvent? I would rather avoid just wrapping or
covering it. Just was thinking there was something commonly by trim
shops,...
