Audi Rear View Mirror Replacement by [email protected]
Hey all, My girlfriend just got a used Audi A4, 02 or 03. The auto dim mirror started to leak what ever solution it holds down onto plastic around the stick shift, ruining the plastic and rendering the mirror half worthless. She called the dealer about a replacement part and was told it...

1992 F-150 idle problem by Steve Walker[_1_]
I tried to help my brother out with his truck, 302 EFI 2wd. It runs great going down the road, acceleration is fast and smooth. When you start it up, either warm or cold, it idles rough, and slow for anywhere from 2 to 5 minutes. It used to race up and down, but that has gone away, don't know...

MERCURY SABLE 1996 SERVICE ENGINE SOON by GOITA
The "Service Engine Soon Light" keeps coming on. My mechanic's code reader shows P0303, something to do with one of the cylinder? After lot of work and hours on the car, my mechanic is thinking of changing the computer of the car because this may be caused by a problem in the computer itself,...

'99 Toyota Corolla Engine Knocking by [email protected]
I have a 1999 Toyota Corolla LE with about 77,000 miles on it and noticed today a soft knocking sound coming from under the hood. This sound wasn't present when I started up the car yesterday. The sound is like a steady tapping that's only noticeable when the car is in park. I can't hear it at...

1988 Honda Prelude S - white/black(?) smoke and power loss by [email protected]
I'm not quite sure about the color of the smoke: at first glance at the tailpipe end, it seems white, but looking at the billowing cloud you think it could pass for black. One could even suspect blue, but that could be an illusion due to the green foliage in the background. As to cause: my...

I have a 2004 3.3L T&C van and just replaced the front disk brake pads - the caliper retainer bolts are short and enclosed with rubber boots. Does anyone have a Chrysler repair manual that would specify the exact torque for these bolts - I used 32 ft/lbs but wonder if it should be more? Thanks for...

Dielectric grease by [email protected]
Hi, I replaced my 97 Saturn SW2's spark plugs and spark plug wires and when I did so I applied dielectric grease to the boots of the spark plug wires. However, some instructions recommend applying the dielectric grease to the ceramic of the spark plug as well. Should I do this? Why? Thanx, Ed
