156 restyle: Last chance to buy a new future classic? by
Barry Bingham
Saw a copy of "Practical Classic Car" or some such in WHSmugs yesterday
& they were listing cars made in the last five years most likely to
become classics in x years time.
156 was top of the list, with a prediction that it would be the earlier
pre-facelift cars with original nose, interesting...

Alfa 164 ABS Warning by
D & J Merrylees
Hi,
I have a 1990 Alfa 164 3.0 V6, and the ABS warning light on the dash comes
on intermittently after a recent WOF check.
Self check is OK when turning ignition on, and after starting the car. Light
comes on while driving after 5-10 minutes. No other warning lights come on.
On the same day of...

Alfa 156 GTA vs A4 with sports suspension? by
MacIglebek
For three years, I owned a 156 2.0 Selespeed. Unfortunately, a Toyota Hiace
hit me in a front accident and totally smashed the car. Immediately after, I
replaced the car by an Audi A4 2.0FSI (shame on me) with sports suspension
and 18" rims.
Today, I had a testdrive of a used 156 MY2001, similar...

Hope no-one got the wrong idea about me before. by
MeatballTurbo
The jump from a £500-£2k wasn't intended.
I just mentioned that I was used to spending sub £500 for cheap, tatty
but solid motors that did what I needed them to do, but wanted something
better now.
The budget was always going to be £2k or if possible less.
On the subject of 8v Vs 16v (chain Vs...

156 dashboard by
Ppelectron
I have a 156 (right hand drive) and just to the right of the sterring wheel and
a little bit below it there is a panel in the dashboard that hides some relays
/ fuses etc. (i.e. next to the drivers door). It has started to fall away from
the dashboard and apart from 3 plastic lugs at the top of the...

AR 156 2.0TS Air Filter question by
Mika Sutinen
Hi!
Last year (about year from now) I had my -98 156 fitted with JR Air Filter
and I figured that it's about a time I should take it out for a cleaning,
however I dont usually do anything to my car myself so I pretty much lack
every tool (except hammer =)) I probably need.
So if someone here...

Clarkeson in a good mood by
Steve Haigh
Jeremy Clarkson* wrote an article in last Sunday's Times. Of interest
(a) because he was actually quite nice about a car and (b) the car was
an Alfa.
OK, to be precise the car was a 328bhp Autodelta 147 GTA. He quite liked
it - quoting his article: "Mad amount of power and astounding grip...

Hi there.
Does anyone have any experience of Novitec suspension upgrades on their
Alfa?
I am considering the sports or adjustable kit for my GTV V6.
I'd be pleased to hear from you.
