How long have you owned your current Corvette? by
Barking Rats
Just out of curiosity, I'd like to hear how long folks have owned their
current Corvette.
To start the ball rolling, I bought my '67 from a PA State Trooper going
through a divorce in '79. Wow, hard to believe it's been 26 years we've
been together - lasted longer by far than *his* marriage. :)...

C2 ignition kill switch? by
lib
What is the current wisdom on the prefered placement of an ignition kill
switch in the electrical system. Is it better to kill one side of the coil,
or starter, etc. to prevent an easy hot wire of the ignition switch.
Obviously, the switch itself will be secreted. Thanx- Lib

'04 ZO6 Squeaky Brakes by
Spud
I have an '04 ZO6 w/ 11,000 miles. The brakes have squeaked at light
braking since I got it at 7000 miles. The brakes are not worn out. I
realize the brakes are special on the ZO6. Are they ceramic or something
special? Is it normal that they squeak?
TIA, Ed

1993 Right Louvre by
Pat Villani
Just ran into a problem fixing up my 1993. I was planning on replacing
the front right side fender louver, but it seems that it's out of
production and out of stock everywhe Mid America, Ecklers, etc. In
fact, Ecklers has 1984-90 and 1995-96 but no 1991-94.
Worst part of this is that I found...

In many of the groups where fundy dave has trolled, people have asked

I'm sick of being a wannabe Corvette owner, I want to be aCorvette owner! by
Tristan Austin
I'm looking into getting a used '88 to '89 C4, but I'm only just now getting
into the early stages of looking around. I'm a complete nube so I'm looking
for a starting point to get some background on what I should be avoiding and
what I should be expecting.
I'm based in Melbourne, Australia, so...

FS: Two hi perf. carbs (750 Demon and 800 Edelbrock) by
dave
Both 2 years old with under 3000 miles on them. Both without choke, but
cold idle is 750 rpm and warm idle is 900 rpm. Both work absolutely
perfectly. Both in excellent shape. Demon is a double pumper with mech
secs. Will part with them for reasonable offer. Email me :

Annular Boosters versus Downleg Boostered Carbs by
dave
There was an interesting writeup in CarCraft mag. this month on an LS1
motor using a 750 cfm downleg Carb compared to a 750 cfm annular Carb ;
the Dyno reported an unbelievable increase of 94 ft.lbs torque (at 1800
rpms) using the Annular over the Downleg.
H.P. was up also especially at lower...

82 Corvette, Trans Problem by
asaScott
My car only has first & park. Need some direction, manual is 200 miles away
& I don't touch this car without reading first. Too easy & expensive to do
otherwise (I have never been a chevy person & they are different)

86 headaches by
86vette
I have an 86 with 2 annoying problems. The first is that there is a
vibration in any gear at 1500-2300 rpm under light to medium loads. The
vibration goes away when cruising or heavy acceleration. I've had the
u-joints replaced drive shaft balanced( was ok) and replaced u-joints on
half shafts but...
