Oil temp gauge/sender question by Karls
Hi ramva! I'd like to know... does the length of the wire going from the gauge to the sender affect the reading? I think mine is showing lower temps than it should. The gauge is a stock porsche 914 and the sender is a VDO M14 x 1.5 located where the oil drain plug is supposed to go. TIA, Karls

Seats? by simd0ggie
I'm looking for advice on replacing the seats in my 76 Bus. I've been told Fiero seats work well, but others may have brackets that can be oretty easily welded in also. Any help would be appreciated.

Long, long, long time since I posted here. Anyhoo, I'm thinking about getting the old 71 Bus on the road again and using it to tow the old dirt bikes I've been working on out to the desert (~100 easy freeway miles). Anyone have a source for a hitch? I tried aircooled.net and samba with...

Pulling off inner hubcaps by Leo
Hello - I'm trying to check the play on the bearings on my '73 bus. I went to remove the inner hubcab to reveal the clamp nut, but there is a small, square-headed pin held by a circlip sticking out of the front left cap which I didn't expect. (pic: http://i2.tinypic.com/sz94ps.jpg) Is that the...
