RSC - banned content by Jeff Reid
Another stupid rule at RSC regarding banned members is "content" from a banned member isn't allowed. Not allowing discussions to be made on behalf of a banned member (assuming that it can be reasonably proven that the poster wouldn't have independently made the same discussion), is OK with...

AMD alternative toTriplehead multiple screen simming by Andrew MacPherson[_2_]
I've been ignoring hardware for a while... the more I read, the more money I tend to want to spend. ;-) So AMD's new generation of vid cards have come as a bit of a surprise. It looks like we may be able to throw our Triplehead boxes (or plans for a Triplehead box) out of the window. The money...

GPL - Previous addict back for more! by RocketMan
Finally got my life back into 'shape' (little thing like marriage & kids!), so I'm back into GPL (Grand Prix Legends for the uninitiated!). Currently playing it on a laptop (3.06Ghz P4, 1.4GB RAM, 9100 IGP, 100GB HD), until I get my new desktop. It's a major improvement on my current desktop (built...

RASCAR: New Driver Sign-up by [email protected]
I have a new driver to sign up for Saturdays race, but I can't get onto RSC to put the info there. It's been down for days (not that I didn't feel that coming). Dave - you have an email address I can send the info to? -Larry

Logitech G25 Initial Impressions by Larry[_1_]
Had mine for about 2 days now. Work has kept me from a lot of use, but I've got about an hour on it and as with any product there is good and bad here. The good outweighs the bad by a considerable margin :) The GOOD ------------ Logitech finally got a pedal set right. Heavy, very strongly...

iRacing - Throttle-On Braking with the F-Mazda by [email protected]
I chose to post this here first instead of the iRacing forums. This is in hopes that we can have a real and detailed discussion of the issue. On the iR forums the discussion will get bogged down with a bunch of lightweights chiming in on how accurate iRacing is, and how stupid it is to question...

Asus 8V Deluxe Onboard sound? by Uwe Schürkamp
Hi, I've been looking at a new cpu / mobo combo lately and found the Asus 8V deluxe quite to my liking (the socket 939 model). I was wondering if the onboard sound provided by that motherboard is any good in terms of cpu usage or wether I should stick to the Audigy 2 ZS I am using now? All the...

FYI - new nVidia drivers by [email protected]
I happened to notice a minor long-time annoyance is gone in the latest nVidia 91.31 video drivers. In RBR, some of the stages (esp France and Finland) have had visible borders in the road surface. I don't know when it was fixed, but it is gone in the 91.31 drivers. I had 81.98 before these,...

rFactor Hammer by Kosmo
Did the Ronin Autoworks Hammer in rFactor turn into the ******* child of ISI? The reason I ask is it appears to have been abandoned at some point in the gameplay. When I first got the sim, I picked the Hammer solely based on it's looks (not knowing any better). So I've been driving the hell out...

GTR and firewall ( twitchiness online) by Uwe Schürkamp
Hi folks, I'm happy to report (as Andy Wilke asked) that modifying my Linux firewall to allow packets inbound for GTR hosting has solved the problem of online "twitchiness". I checked again tonight with the rules commented out, and the twitchiness returned. All the best, uwe

Stock Car Evolution is fantastic by samson
I just did a 30 lap online race last night at Jacksonville (Daytona clone). Except for the really long yellow flags, the racing was brilliant. It was just as good as NR2003.

How do I get Speed Channel? by Tony Jester
I live in a rural area where cable will never be available. I know I can get Speed in a package with Dish Network, but I don't want all the other channels that it comes bundled with. Is there any way to get just Speed Channel with a large dish? Thanks. -Tony-

Need Broken MOMO Force (RED ONE) by ThomasJ
Ach.......the pc board connected to the 25 pin D connector died inside my MOMO Force. I need a broken wheel, or just that board. If someone has a wheel that died for other reasons, I'd buy it, pay with PayPal or whatever you want. I don't need or want pedals, just the wheel housing or just the...
