60K tune & Lube - Cost Estimate by Roscoe[_2_]
I just had my 99 FRC in for a 60K tune and lube. It was running Great- I just wanted to follow the maintenance schedule as all good Vette owners do. I took it to the local Chevy dealership as several Vette buddies recommended them. They did a great job from beginning to end, but I was surprised...

Wagner Thermoquiet VS Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads? by loadhawg
I've narrowed down my selection to one of these 2 pads. Prices are similar. Wagners are avail locally, Hawks are mail order. Any recommendations or experiences with either? I'm interested in original or better performance as far as good 'grab' for slowing vehicle, stock or easier pedal effort etc...

I'm impressed, thankful and regretful by drb[_2_]
I'm impressed after reading a lot of reviews on the C6. At first my thought was either I'm reading a bunch of over enthusiastic owners (over crazed) or it's one heck of a car. I'm beginning to believe it's NOT over- enthusiastic owners after my wife's co worker and his wife owned a C5. They...

C6 Corvette seats and dashboard by drb[_2_]
Since I'm considering buying a new Corvette and keeping it for a long time (I hope at least 15 years or more) I was wondering if the seats or dashboard might tend to crack over time? Is there any way to prevent it with proper care or is it inevitable ? Any suggestions for the proper care?

gasoline by drb[_2_]
If I'm not mistaken, isn't the corvette (C6) supposed to take premium gasoline? Anyone ever run it on regular gas? Will that harm the engine in the LONG run? Please no flames on this, just asking for the health of my future C6 and thanks.

2006 Corvette Coupe problems by drb[_2_]
Chevy dealer near my house has a 2006 vette coupe with about 21k miles for $35k. Edmunds.com has it valued around $33k from a dealer (perhaps dealer allows for bargaining at $35k??). It looks nice in the pics (red car) tho I prefer to have blue or white because I once had a red car and it...

FS: Corvette pinball machine in NW Chicago suburbs by Karl M
Hi all, I have about 11 arcade pinball machines, problem is I only have room for about 7 in my basement, so I am putting a bunch of them up for sale until 4 of them sell :) This is definitely the best of the games I am selling. It's a 1994 Bally Corvette pinball machine. It's got 4-ball...

Air Dam Came Off by Blue C5
My car is a 2000. I was driving and heard a noise like a branch had caught under the car. Checked it out and one of the Metric 6MM-1 bolts had come off and the dam was dragging. The other bolt was half way out. Took it all the way out and put the dam in the trunk. While driving at 60+ MPH the...

The DIC Challenge!!!!!!!!!! by Spud
Ok, I'm not buying the 30 mpg out of a 427 cu in Vette. Everyone that is claiming the huge mileage is trusting the DIC to calculate it. So we are trusting a flow sensor essentially. Or maybe Big Brother at GM wants us to feel good by "massaging" the numbers a little in the software...

http://vettetube.com/view_video.php?viewkey=0d0211a991f47bb19a77 - My new Z06 seems to handle pretty darn well. Really neutral. I hit 0.9 g's during a real hard , "late for the light" turn the other day. I don't know how a person could really watch the g' meter at max, but maybe at a...
