Hyundai Scores Higher than Toyota and Honda!!!!! by [email protected]
Wow this is quite surprise to see Hyundai (former maker of Excel) scores higher than Toyata and Honda for the consumer satisfaction index. My simply reaction is how could it possible that Hyundai is more dependable than Toyota and Honda. Forget two expensive Porsche and Lexus. Focus on average...

Upper Control Arm Bushings by chopface
Hi, '91 Civic Si (3dr hatchback) 152k miles I recently took my knuckles off and had new wheel bearings and lower ball joints pressed in at a shop. I also installed new upper control arms myself. All work was done on both sides. I have yet to get an alignment since the work. The car is riding...

Does this make sense? by accord_owner
I took my 97 Accord in to a Honda dealer for maintenance today. They just called and said they found out that the cover to something (I forgot what) was leaking oil onto the spark plugs and spark plug wires. They said that my car has an extended emissions warranty, but technically it does not...

2000 Accord mystery connectors by Nasty
I finally got around to dropping the new head on my wife's car. There are two connectors for which I can't find a plug. One is a fairly large brown square one with a lot of wires feeding it that I THINK was bolted to the underside of the intake manifold. The other is an oval black one with...

94 Accord disappearing exhaust noise by Philip Trenholme
When my 94 Accord (vtec) starts it makes a deep exhaust? sound. After a few minutes this disappears. Performance is unaffected. Could this be something loose in the exhaust system that seals itself when warmed up? I have the factory shop manual Phil.

Wheel diameters for '89 Prelude? by [email protected]
I recently acquired a well-tuned 1989 Prelude (not the AWS model) that is quite fun to drive. Fuel-economy is atrocious for a 4-banger, however; and I suspect the tiny 175/60R13 tires are to blame -- as the engine is whining at near 4000rpm going 75mph. 1st gear is also a joke: if a snail breaths...

New key can't be programmed? by Wayne Atkinson
Having bought a second-hand Accord Executive (UK, 2001 automatic 2ltr) we thought it prudent to order a new key from our local Honda dealership, as there was only one key supplied with the car. The key was obtained from Honda UK and programmed by the dealership, however, it refused to start...

98-02 2Dr v 4Dr Radio compatibility by FunkyKev
Shopping for replacement radio. I have an Accord 2dr EX V6. Anyone know the compatibility of 2dr v. 4dr radios? Is it a wiring thing? Or a mounting thing? Just wondering what to include in my search since half of the jacklegs on ebay (bulk salvage rescue types!) think that everything fits...

My air was working just fine until I left the car parked for a few days... Now I can turn on the air, and the green 'activated' light comes on, but nothing happens. When I turn on the air, I get no compressor kicking in or even drop in rpm's when the compressor kicks in, just absoloutly nothing,...

Can't shift out of park by dristan24
I own a 98' Accord 4dr automatic. I love the car and have had it for some time now. Other than the typical "drivers side door lock switch not working" issue, my only problem is with the shifter. There are times after I put the car into "Park", I am not able to press the button on the shifter knob...

I have beed trying to decide what fluid to use in the transmision of my newly aquired 1994 Civic DX with 5 speed manual transmision. I was considering Redline MTL but then decided it is safer to use the Honda MTF. However, then read this after Googling the subject. "Actually, all Honda dealers...
