90 passat stalls after warmup by Kark Doemland
My 90 passat w/A9 motor stalls after +/- 20 minutes. Could it be overheating? Temp gauge = 190 to 220 degrees, occasionally fluctuates. the fan starts ok, maybe too late? If so, why would overheating stop the fuel injection? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Karl D.-

1995 Jetta transmission by Rick
Does anyone know where I could get a used 5sp. tranny in the Milwuakee, Wi. area? I went up there to replace the clutch in my brother-in-laws 95 Jetta only to find a hole the size of a half-dollar in the side of the case. Much internal damage as well. I'm not sure of the code but it's for a...

VW Golf towing delema by Ingo Braune
Mike Hackett wrote: > So do they specifically mention a towing capacity for the 1.8T in Europe? Sorry, I don't have data for the A4, as the german VW homepage of course only lists A5 data, but it should be similar for the A4. Again, there's no 1.8 turbo in the A5 yet, but the 150HP FSI should...

Flywheel Timing Mark by [email protected]
Look at valves to see both are closed in cylinder 1. Remove all spark plugs. Stick large screwdriver in cylinder 1 when you see it is close to the top. Rotate slowly one way to see it peak and start to drop back down. Rotate back the other way to see it peak again. If you do this correctly you will...
