34 PICT/3 Carb Parts by
Randall Brink
I had a mishap this morning, whereby my engine backfired through the
carburetor and blew a small disc out of an aft-facing port on the
carburetor. I cannot find the disc. Can these be bought at a normal parts
store? This is a Pierburg carb.

Hello NG!
I have to remove the oil breather from the generator stand to tighen the
bolt/nut on the generatorclamp.

Newly Rebuilt 1966 Engine Oil Leak by
[email protected]
Hi. I recently had an original F block '66 engine completely rebuilt
by Archway Imports here in St. Louis. Supposedly they do very good
work. The engine runs great, near as I can tell, and has been bored
out to 1600 for more power. Fuel consumption seems rather high, but I
don't really know...

72 Beetle Dead Short by
Elvin Rambaran
Hi. I have a 72 Beetle that is suffering from a dead short. As soon as the
ignition is turned on, fuse number 2 blows. Then, of course, there is no
positive power to the coil and the car will not start. What confuses me here
is that the wire (white in color) from fuse 2 goes into a black box...

you spot in this request I received yesterday? (I didn't bother with a
reply, for obvious reasons...)

FA: Removing Fixed Windows by
Mel P.
It's been six years since I took out the rear windows. Even so, I cut the
rubber since I was replacing the seal. What's the easiest way to remove the
windows and still be able to use the seal again?

best place to find used 100hp engine by
[email protected]
I'm looking for a ready to run (all accessories) type 1 used engine for
use in testing an aircraft propeller. I would like to get 100hp at
around 3500 rpm (I'll have a gear reduction so my prop speed will be
lower).
I don't need a rebuilt engine as this will just be run on a test stand.
I'm not...

rusty bolt hint; by
BananaRepublican
Planning some work on old bolts?. weeks before , squirt some thin oil
on the bolts/nuts. I thin used motor oil and keep in squirt can.
the vibration of normal driving helps the oil penetrate.
good luck.
