Auto recalls that should have happened? by Dick R.
Maybe an old wives tale, but supposedly the seats on the Ford Model T were stuffed with Spanish moss - that hadn't been treated to kill the chiggers. I dunno? Dick

New GT deals by Big Al[_3_]
Anyone seeing any "deals" on new GT's? I just bid on one here. Used with 4,200 miles. I'm hearing, but not seeing, you can find brand new ones for $20K. And: I've heard the new 3 valve Mustangs have variable valve timing. Is this true? I've also heard they have a problem with them retarding the...

VIN research; Need website recommendation by Bear1MustardSeed
Carfax or Autocheck ? Maybe there are other choices. Carfax tells me (for free) that they have 7 reports on the VIN # I entered. Autocheck says they have 11 reports. Of course, I'd like to get as much reliable info for the buck as possible. Suggestions?

Drifting by [email protected]
All day Sunday, while working on my car I'm hearing these squeeling tires and the buzzing of fart-canned fours. They sometimes run autocross in the parking lot at the horse race track near my house, so I figure that's what it is. The noise continues even after dinner so my wife and I drive down...

new comp cams camshaft scratched.. by Amiral Adama
hello I've just received my new comp cams camshaft for my 1965 289ci's Ford Mustang. The bad news is that the french customs had opened the box and did a little scratch on the last cam journal, where the last cam bearing will be over. It can bee only felt with the nail and it is 4mm long.

Part Search by Spike
Just installed a new C4 in my 65FB and while trying to align the shifter (oem full console) I found that the shift control assembly is worn out and needs to be replaced. Though maybe someone might have one from doing a conversion from auto to manual.... or have leads on where one might be...

1988 Mustang LX Paint by MD[_2_]
I bought a 1988 Ford Mustang LX back in March of 2007 which was given a new paint job and was pretty much restored from front to back, top to bottom. My question is if the paint job was done within 6 months of my purchasing the car, (September, 2006) then would I have an arguement about rust...

Bending power steering line by [email protected]
Is it very difficult to bend steel power steering lines. I have a 66 inline 6 mustang that I need to replace the steel portion ofhe return line from the pump to the control valve. It needs to be custom bend and had rather do it myself. It has gotten kinked where it connects to the control valve and...

Ford's "safety" oriented ad. Bill Ford by [email protected]
I'm wondering if this is driving motivation behind people buying cars? Somehow I doubt it. If it was, they wouldn't use CELL PHONES while driving.

85 Mustang GT by Paul Middleton
Would anyone know if the front and rear disks brakes and the rear end of a 1988 Lincoln Sports Coupe (Mark VII) would fit on a 1985 Mustang GT? Might there be a how-to site that describes this process?

WANTED: Excell Transmission Shop by Jacques
I need an excellent transmission shop in Ottawa: competent and knowledgeable ... experienced ... trustworthy ... and well-equipped. I'm (probably) about to buy a 99 Tarus Wagon with high mileage. It's at least possible the transmission fluid/filter has never been changed. I'm aware that this could...
