High speed chases by Gumby619[_2_]
I agree, once someone runs for a misdemeanor or infraction the cops should just get the plate and deal with him later when he least expects it. Around here (San Diego County) the highest speed limit is 70 MPH, that being said if I were to go anything under 80 on certain freeways I would get run...

I saw that someone was nice enough to post a Carfax report in response to someones request a bit ago and I was hoping someone might consider helping me as well. MINE is about a Mustang though. :-) This Mustang is for sale on a lot in Mississippi and I know it has had some body-work. I'm...

Further to "Taking my act on the road..." by dwight
Seattle was wonderful. I mean, the city is okay, if you don't mind the "liquid sunshine." We were at a hotel on the Bellevue side, but did manage to tour Seattle, as well. Did some driving around the "lake", and were impressed with some of the homes and gardens in that area. But, really - too...

Chrysler's rapper/geezer ad a thing of ridicule by Rich
There are two radio ads running in Toronto making fun of this stupid Chrysler ad. One for a sub place, the other for a car dealership (not Chrysler). Another "Harley Earl" special bites the dust!!! -Rich

Jewel in the rough. by ironrod
I just acquired a 1973 Cadillac Eldorado with only 42000 original miles on its original GM 501 c.i. engine. The car was originally owned by my Grandmother who never drove it, it was inherited by my father who never drove it, and now has been passed on to me. I think the poor thing has spent the...

'85 GT upgrade by Themio
Hi all. I am new here. I am thinking about upgrading my '85 GT from 4-lugs to 5-lug wheels and bigger disc brakes all around. Has anyone here done or is familiar with the upgrade? I've seen the one where they use the axle from a mid-80's Lincoln and the front spindles of an early '90s GT. It looks...

Radio ad for 2005 Mustang this morning. by Quiet Desperation
Heard a Ford radio ad this morning. Two things of interest. Well, it was an *ad* for a car that is backordered forever. Maybe it's a sign that the production line has 18G parts available to it finally? Went out of their way to mention the multicolor dash lights. Kind of a generic radio car ad....

Using a GM 700-R4 by James
Several years ago I read an article in MM&FF of someone installing a GM 700-R4 in a fox bodied Mustang. Does anyone remember the provider of the adapter plate for this conversion or have a copy of the article? As I recall this swap was supposedly a step up from using the AOD or a C4 because of a...

Odd gas prices (no rhyme, no reason?) Toronto by [email protected]
So, oil shoots to $69 barrel, prices of gas hit $1.27/L. Then, oil falls to $57 barrel, prices of gas drop to $0.83/L. So far, so good. That was over a few months.. Recently, the price (with oil going from $57 to $60/b) went up to $0.99/L. Now, oil has hit $64/b and gasoline is down to...

knocking in motor by Rick
Hi gang, Been a while since I posted anything here, but I have a problem that I cannot seem to figure out yet. I have an 84 GT and after about 15 minutes or so, I hear a knocking coming from the engine. It is not the lifters, this is a deep thud sound. If I accelerate the motor, the knocking...

I bent my Wookie :( by Mark
Hi Folks, My '87 GT broke after I stopped to check the mail. I try to start it, it cranks but doesn't start. Then I notice I can't hear the fuel pump energize when I turn the key on. I checked the inertia switch to see if it had somehow popped but it seemed ok. I'm going back for it tomorrow....
