starting it? by
signman
What was the proper starting procedure for a 1964 Ford F-100 pickup, having
a manual choke?
I'm interested in one that's for sale in my area, but don't want to have
trouble getting it running. It's been a long time since I dealt w/ a
vehicle having a manual choke and I really don't want to have...

Questions on Impala VIN and a "Macho 2+2" by
John Alt
First of all, my father just bought a car from about the mid 70's called
a Macho 2+2. The front grill and fenders resemble a Bearcat or an early
MG. The rear is more like a jeep. It was apparently built in limited
numbers, maybe 300 or so, in Florida. One rumor has it they were
built to race or...

make of black convertible in Barefoot Contessa??? by
wouldbecollector
I just saw the Barefoot Contessa, a movie shot in France/Italy circa 1954.
In it was featured a truly splendid black convertible, but I
could not make out the emblem. Does anyone know the make of that car,
which is probably of Italian manufacture (Lancia?)?
Thanks, A.

newbie advice by
Ayar15
Hi everyone. This is my first time posting here, so please forgive me
if I state the obvious or ask a really dumb question.
I was wondering if anyone might be able to help me with a little
information. I have just inherited a 1962 Thunderbird convertible.
It's gloss black, with a black interior...

FS: 1951 Mercury by
Howard Havlicsek
I have several 1951 Mercury 4 door sedans that I am considering selling.
1. The first one is in running order and an easy restore.
2. The second is a fixer upper; a good winter project.
3. The third is a parts car, which could be sold as a package deal with #2
I also have several other vehicles...

Need help with '53 F-100 kingpin bushing install by
Fat Fendered Ford
I am getting ready to install NOS FoMoCo kingpin bushings in my '53
Ford F-100 spindles. I noticed the bushings have grease channels that
aren't symmetrical. There is a triangular arrow looking cutout for the
grease zerk opening. Should this point up or down? It seems like it
would make a...

pushing the bounds of historical tags by
Kenneth Garman
I have a classic car with Missouri antique plates. Missouri historic
regs limit me to 1,000 miles a year of driving and must keep a journal
in the car recording every trip.
I stay under the 1,000 mile limit just barely, but the complication is
that I split my time between residences in Texas and...

'76 MG Midget and '78 Spitfire 1500 engine swap? by
Rick
The basic question is, can I swap a 1976 MG Midget engine into a 1978
Triumph Spitfire? To make matters worse I'm in California with all the
smog requirements, fortunately both cars are already California cars
from the factory.
The longer story is a did a very clean rebuild of the MG engine...

'46 Olds in NC by
Michael Hamilton
I've got a '46 Olds 76 for parts--inline 6 engine, manual transmission,
front fenders and hood, maybe the body for a rod project, some other good
and restorable parts. Was going to do an original restoration, but the
chassis is shot, and the interior is garbage. I'm located near Chapel Hill,
NC. ...
