Hey everone,
Got a strange one. After driving yesterday and returning home, I pressed
the FOB to lock the doors and arm the alarm. The alarm immediately started
going off! First time it happened. It was daytime, no lights were on all
doors/trunk/hood was tight. Couldn't figure it out. Went...

Special Tool for Master Cyl Install by
Philip Trenholme
Honda 94 Accord Service Manual shows a special tool used to set
pushrod clearance adjustment for a brake master cylinder. Tool is $150
special order. Anyone know a way to set this clearance without the
tool?
Measuring the position of the piston end in the old and new master
cylinder seems like it...

and above this engine speed the noise is not...

Trailer lights adapter/converter for 2001 Accord by
Conan Kelly
Hello all,
Well actually, I'm looking for a converter/adapter for a 2001 Acura TL, but I figure the Accord is pretty much the same thing.
Below is my original post to alt.autos.acura. No one responded.
Since then, I had U-Haul put the hitch on the car and they said the adapter is a...

DRL relay problems on Accords and others by
rshpeley
Searching through the DRL relay posts it looks like most of you know
about the solder problems on the relay pins inside the DRL relay
module. It looks like other relays on the Accord show problems so maybe
this post will help there as well.
The solder cracks on the relay pins come from mechanical...

Brake Fluid for Cleaning Bolts? by
Elle
Any reason not to soak old bolts in used brake fluid, wipe
them with a rag, apply, say, anti-seize, then re-install?
My concern would be the water absorbing properties of brake
fluid. But if others routinely do this, then I won't be
concerned.
TIA

AC repair charges. by
theZone
Hello
I left my honda 1995 accord for AC maintenance at a local Midas. The
guy is saying the discharge hose is leaking and quoting 168$ for
replacing it (including parts) and another 110$ for complete Evacuation
and recharge + $40 for Freon.
I feel this is kind of way too much - what will be the...

'93 Accord - flashing "D" transmission indicator.... sometimes?? by
KWW
Last night, I drove my daughter's '93 Accord LX Automatic about 40 miles on
the highway and in traffic. It ran fine. I stopped at a store, restarted
the car after it had sat for a few minutes, and it was sluggish... looked
down and the "D" indicator was flashing (indicating a problem). Pulled...

Accord/Civic (probably others) overheating problems by
rshpeley
I've noticed a few old posts where a number of people experienced the
same problems I had with overheating in a 92 Accord.
In my case the rad and thermostat were replaced and the car kept on
overheating. To make a long story short I found the problem was in the
positioning of the thermostat....

Good internet buying experience (to my surprise) by
[email protected]
Hello,
I just had a good Honda buying experience, so I figured I'd share with
you. In essence, I think the reason that I had a good buy was a
combined result of the internet shopping tactic and happening to
getting in touch online with a salesperson with a particular
personal sales policy.
First,...

1993 Honda Accord - 4th to 5th gear noise by
[email protected]
Looking to buy a used Accord (175k miles) and looks to be in nice
shape, however during my test drive I did notice sometimes going from
4th to 5th caused a slight grind noise. Is this a syncro problem? Is
this a progressive problem? Only way to fix is a rebuild?

Recurring ABS mystery on 96 Accord by
MajBach
Hi all! I'm still having an ABS problem with my '96 Accord EX-R. It's been
acting up intermittently since late fall with no discernable pattern. The
problem began when the ABS would consistently kick in under normal - light
braking moments before reaching a full stop. IOW, every time I come to...
