Coolant Leak. On & Off by
Richard
This AM while at the drag strip I was pulled off the line as the car was
leaking coolant. (steady flow from the back of the engine area.) By the time
I got back into the pit area the leak stopped and could not be located.
Drove back into town (about 5 miles) and the leak started again. By the...

289 Mustang that keeps quitting by
Nevada Larry
My 1966 289 Mustang has developed a habit of dying whenever I stop at a stop
sign. It usually starts right up again but sometimes it takes a while. It
does this whether it is hot or cold outside. It has an electronic
distributor and coil from Mallory. The coil wire was burned so it was
replaced,...

SAE Horsepower Standards To Change by
[email protected]
Here's an interesting article.
---
In the hopes of eliminating possible disparities between a car's
advertised horsepower figure and the power it actually delivers, the
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) has updated its engine-testing
standards. The specifications that define acceptable...

What Is Your Favorite Automotive TV Show? by
[email protected]
Though not a show aimed directly at the enthusiast, I have always
enjoyed watching PBS's Motorweek. Recently, I've been trying to catch
The History Channel's AutoManiac. I like it... it's a pretty good
show. Has anyone else been tuning in?

Ping Ping Ping Knock by
BradandBrooks
Guys,
I've bumped the timing on my 93 5.0 I set it by ear to the max I could run on 87 octane gas.
Normally, the temps up here in Alberta don't get too hot, and 87 octane works nice at about 70F or 20C. Lately, it got up to the high 20s low 30s (mid to high 80s) and it was knocking under WOT at...

I have a fox body 85 Mustang GT 302 roller long block I'm putting in a =

The 67 requires a front sump oil pan and pick-up. No problem. I have =

Now, the fox body has a side mounted dip stick for the oil level check. =

This one will make you cry! My buddy Kim just finished putting the final

three year restoration. So what does he do? He goes for a drive. As he is
leaving the Canadian Tire Gas Bar, the bozo in front of him puts his SUV

2005 GT Passenger seat too low by
John H.
My wife finds the passenger seat too low to see comfortably over the dash. I
tried telling her she's not *supposed* to see over the dash, but she didn't like
hearing that.
I've put a sheepskin, folded, on the seat, but she's not wild about that either.
The seat isn't adjustable for height as is...
