Worst case with bad TO bearing by Mark G7#9
Hi, Looks like my clutch has a bad throw-out bearing. It's very noisy but the car drives ok for now. Do I have much time before something major happens? (I don't have the cash now to fix the clutch). Is it safe to drive at all? Thanks Mark 2000 GT 'vert

Noisy clutch on 2K GT by Mark G7#9
Hi, My GT has 110K on it with original tranny. Recently, when I press the clutch pedal all the way down, a screetchy high pitch sound is heard and goes away when the gears are engaged again. Aside from the noise, the car drives as well as before. Anything I should check ??? Thanks Mark,

The joy of car repair? by Dick R.
I certainly don't disparage anyone who does their own car repair, but there are times when it just isn't feasible. My son called me this morning and said he was going to replace an alternator. He had the alternator, but asked If I could give him a ride if he needed more parts. No problem for me,...

HP ratings by Dick R.
I'm always amazed at horsepower ratings of new cars; V6s with 200-300 HP, imports with 300-400 HP, and Mustangs with 500+ HP. How much torque in these cars? I had a 63 Chev 409 that could burn rubber from a standing start in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears, but it did bog down in 4th. It was a...

70 mustang question? by [email protected]

I've got 320 coils in the front and lowered the upper a arms 1" I'm running 255-60 in the rear. It appears I should have enough clearance, I'm worried about tire rub in the rear. I've...

WoW, if it does for an OBD2 Mustang what it did for my Titan, the all I can say is OMG pretty much sums it up... -- "Pot, thy colour is black, thy material make-up is primarily of iron and thy criminal record is that of soliciting for the purpose of prostitution." - Marc B.

The one(s) that got away - what could you have bought that you didn't? by Ashton Crusher[_2_]
In 1970 One of my college roommates had a Shelby 500 GT (probably a 68?) he was behind in the payments and it was going to be repoed. I should have bought it but wasn't impressed at the time. He wound up in a 58 Galaxy. In early 80's my Grandmother had a 64 Plymouth convertible I could have...
