156 driver's seat - lumbar adjust broken?? by
fmt
Hi folks,
I've never tried to adjust the lumbar setting to the driver's seat of
my 156, until today that is....now I wish I hadn't bothered!
Whereas the passenger's seat knob turns quite heavily and can clearly
be seen to be doing some alterations to the seat back, the driver's
side just appeared...

Jim[_32_]
Just been out in my 2005 156 jtd to be greeted with an audible alert and
a message to the effect there's an EBD failure and switch off engine and
go to dealer.
On switching off the engine the alert goes away but returns once I move
off a little way.
Before I get involved with dealers....what...

156 Electric Window by
Steve Byatt
My offside rear window has developed a mind of its own. For most of the time
it doesn't work at all... then (and I know I should know better) I try it
and it goes down by 2 inches and stops. And won't go back up again for a few
hours. Then it works again. Anything obvious?

156 electrics - sense of humour required by
Dave Savage
After a lengthy period without any problems, my 156 decided to play up
yesterday : the central locking wouldn't work (not by pressing the key fob,
not by inserting the key in a lock, nothing, nada, zilch). I tried many
times, but nothing.
I grew used to the (un-pleasant) idea of a visit to the...

156 engine by
R D S
A couple of questions regarding 156 engines, mines a 2002 2.0TS
Is the head on a 1.8 the same as a 2.0?
And can a petrol lump be replaced with a diesel? Or would there be too much
other stuff to change?
Cheers,
Rick

156 engine running poor at about 2000 rpm by
Guus Obelink
Since a few months the engine of my 156 SW 1.6 is running poor from 1750 to
2500 rpm. If you try to run it at an constant rpm, the engine is not running
smooth (NL: de motor houdt in) and at idle the rpm varies from 800 upto
1300.
The dealer resetted the motor management computer, but without...

156 Engine Temperature by
Paul Mosley
Hi I've just bought a 156 JTS Sportwagon and the temperature gauge hardly
moves unless I run the engine while stationary. I imagine that the
thermostat is stuck open. Is this a comon problem and is it easy to
replace?

156 Engine Under Tray With Air Scoop. by
Zathras
The old fibre undertray had seen a bit of action since 2001 and was
battered and hanging down badly. Most of the rear and side mounting
points on the tray had fractured and were useless, the centre rear
section was torn apart causing the whole thing to sag in the middle.
It was all held up with...

156 EOBD Problem by
LJS
Hi all,
The EOBD light has come on on my 156 2.5 v6 - power is down and performance
is awful. Does the engine de-tune when it senses a fault ?
What can be the problem when this light comes on, am I looking at a big bill
here or is there usually a simple answer, like a faulty sensor.
Any advice...

156 Front Armrest by
Mr Flipflops
Ok, so not having seen one of these from new, can anyone tell me if it's
supposed to slope forward slightly when it's down or if it's meant to be
completely horizontal. Mine slopes, thats why I'm wondering, cos somehow it
doesn't feel right.

156 Front Bumper Removal by
Zathras
I'm looking to replace the headlight washer stop valve but the thing
resides somewhere behind the black grill on the lower part of the
front spoiler.
The grill is riveted in place (damn!) and because the pipe runs in
front of all the radiators, it looks like a front bumper removal
job..urgh. Had a...

mike
The instrument light on my fuel gauge has gone out; clock and temperature
gauge are fine. There seems to be a single cable to these 3 instruments but
I can't find where the bulbs are. I'm groping through the hole left when the
stereo is removed.
Has anyone replaced any of these using this...

[email protected]
The background illumination of the fuel guage in my 156 has failed and
the readout is very dim and difficult to read....especially at night!
Anyone got any idea how easy it is to remove the console fascia and set
about a bulb replacement or is this something for a dealer only.
Any advice greatly...
