BMW 525D by
Chris Bartram
A friend is looking at a 2002 525D Touring auto with 118K on the clock.
Anything in particular to look out for? Any lurking horror stories?
The only thing he's mentioned is some inside edge tyre wear, but the
last service picked this up and mentions a worn track-rod end, and the
price sounds OK...

petrol in diesel by
Jo Ling
Fellow BMW owners,
This didn't happen to my 525TDS, but it did happen to my Renault Scenic CDi
( a common rail diesel) so I thought I'd ask the experts anyway.
Two weeks ago, I filled up the Scenic, virtually from "empty" (the orange
light had been annoying me), at our local Tesco's. 51 litres...

Idling speed BMW 518 by
Louis Carroll
I had a problem with very erratic idling speeds on my BMW 518. Idling
speeds would surge up and down from about 1200 to 1600 for no apparent
reason and the engine also had a tendency to cut out. With a little
help from some people here and an expert we came to the conclusion
that the Idle Control...

Line 2 bug with T610 and BMW Bluetooth by
Nicholas F Hodder
I have discovered that all outgoing calls made on my T610 via Bluetooth in
my BMW X5 have been billed to line 1, even though my phone was switched to
line 2. This means that I am charged by Orange for the outgoing calls on
line 1, instead of the calls coming out of my line 2 inclusive minutes,...

lviren
My BMW garage tells me my rear O/S wishbone needs replacing - too much
freeplay. The car has done 56k miles. When do these things normally need
replacing? The car is driven carefully etc. Can something cause thus to
occur?
Thanks.

1988 325i possibly fuel pump related issue by
Dan Brenner
Hi All,
My '88 325i cranks but would not start. Fuse #11 is good. I am
investigating the fuel pump system, removed the fuel pump relay and
measured the voltage between the socket coresponding to terminal 30 of
the relay and ground - it is battery voltage. Then I measured the

Angel eyes - fitting clips?? by
Badger
Hi to all, just been given an angel eyes kit at Christmas. Looking through
the contents there's no clips supplied to fit the rings into the headlights.
If anyone has fitted a set of these, what did you use to actually locate the
rings in the headlights?
I could go and fabricate some sort of clips...
