electrically stupid by BDragon
I cannot quite remember what I'm supposed to be looking for. When the brake is on, the tail lamp works, but if I turn on the headlights, the tail lamp goes dark. Same thing happens when I hit the blinker. This only happens to one light. The other one functions normally. I cannot remember if I...

late msg for Diode by BDragon
Way back when, we had some talk about the diverter valve for mid-seventies Corvettes. I did finally find one that was reasonably priced (about forty bucks). It is at Parts America. http://www.partsamerica.com/ -- '71 Trans Am 455 H.O. '77 Corvette coupe and two good feet

parking brake by BDragon
Ric, (ack, I think that is who responded) thanks for mentioning where the adjuster is for the parking brake. I knew there was one around the rotor somewhere, but I kept trying to find it on the inside. I guess it's between a couple of the lugs on the outside, huh? I'm going to go pull the...

outside mirrors by BDragon
Can anyone give me a tip on removing the outside sport mirrors on a '77 coupe? It looks like I can get to one of the screws by moving a window brace to the side, but, up or down, the window blocks the other one, and I can't see a way to get to it short of removing the window. Is that necessary?

Transmission problem by BDragon
About a year ago or so, I had to replace the transmission mount on the cross member. I have a 1977 350/automatic. The mount had ripped itself up, and I wondered about that. When I put the new one in, I really had to put some sideways torque on the shaft to get it over into the mount. That...

tickets problem by BDragon
This one is starting to scare me. Starting three months ago, I began getting traffic tickets in the mail from cities in California. (I live in California.) The first one was from Santa Ana, and I was ticketed for parking in a restricted zone. They had the license number off one of my vehicles,...

catalytic converter by BDragon
You know how sometimes your vehicle just doesn't feel quite right, but you can't really point to anything that's a problem? I've been having that uncomfortable feeling for a while, and I just got to wondering how a person can check the catalytic converter. I had a truck that I bought because...
