I understand that Dexron transmission fluid is not to be used in Chrysler front-wheel drive transmissions, and that the correct fluid to use is ATF+4. I¹ve also heard that wear and damage can result from using the wrong fluid. My ¹98 Town & Country transmission was recently overhauled by a...

3.5L Code 25 - High RPM @ Idle by Bob Shuman
My son's 1996 3.5L Eagle Vision TSI (92K miles) has started idling at ~1600 RPM (even when the engine is warm). The check engine light is lit and the on/off/on/off/on key trick displays a code 25, which appears to be related to the AIS. I've cleaned the two throttle bodies and attempted to...

PT Cruiser chiming and sputtering by [email protected]
I have a 2006 PT Cruiser and I’m having a weird problem. While driving, the car will start chiming (like I’ve left the keys in with the door open). The warning lights on the dash (oil, airbag, etc) will start flashing, the speedometer will move around wildly and the engine will start surging. It...

Transmission limp home mode - 96 T&C by Doug
A friend has a 1996 T&C with the 3.8l engine. On damp or rainy days, the transmission suddenly kicks down into second, even if the vehicle is going at a high rate of speed - awkward on the highway. From the technical literature that I've read, it seems like it's going into the limp home...

car sputtering and cutting out at 2500 rpm by scoobyrogers
2002 intrepid has transmission problems, but now it cuts out at about 2500 rpms around 65-70 mph if you push the gas it does it more, when you let off the gas and rpms go below 2500rpms or 65-70 mph it stops until you reach those rpms or mph. Any idea of what would cause this to happen.

2000 16" Voyager rims on a 2005 Grand Caravan? by Brian[_29_]
Hi, anyone know if the bolt pattern of a 2000 Voyager is the same as a 2005 Grand Caravan? I am considering buying the 2000's 16" rims to use as seasonal snow tires. Not sure if the 2000 rims are alloy, like the 16" ones I have on my 2005, or whether that makes a difference. --Brian
