2002 Passate GLS AC Question by
Nilknarf
the cold air from you a/c creates condensation in your heater box (that water that drips from the bottom of your car when the a/c is on). well, it dosen't all drain out, and when you use your a/c all the time it never dries out making it a perfect environment for mold/mildew. Try rolling your...

Sticky clutch pedal (A4) by
Robert Kidd
The clutch pedal in my 2001 Golf TDI feels a little sticky the first few
times I use it in the morning.
A couple months ago, I flushed the clutch fluid. I used a pressure
bleeder on the reservoir and flushed through the bleeder on the slave
cylinder. I replaced the build with Valvoline SynPower....

amty
When will VW dealers in California start selling VW 2005 Jetta GL and GLS?
Is that model has much changes and any price increases?
When will VW dealers sell the MKV Jetta model?
How are the MKV models named differently with 2005 Jetta GL & GLS?

2002 Passate GLS AC Question by
John Smallberries
Each morning, when I turn on the AC, the air coming from the vents
smells vaguely like ass for about 1.5 minutes. After approx five
minutes, moisture starts coming from the vents in form of cold steam.
Then air stops flowing throught the vents. Turning off the AC for
about 5 minutes resolves the...

Filling Manual Transmission by
Will
Alright, I finally got the old Jetta back together after replacing the
drive flange seals, front engine mount and transmission mount. What a
relief to have it all back together. I dumped the gear oil that was in
it, partly because everyone says Redline works so well, and partly
because I suspect...

1992 GTI - starting problem by
Tobin Fricke

Yes, everything was still working. I'm pretty confident it's the
well-known "heat soak" problem (consistent with being a '92 automatic).
The car...

Polo 1.4 cl (1997) by
Roger
Hi
I recently purchased a Polo 1.4 cl 5 door hatch, very pleased with the car.
just noticed though that when you are in 5th gear and take your foot of the
accelerator there is a very quiet (hardly noticable) sort of a whine as the
engine revs drop. it does not make this sound in any of the other...

Switching between Engine Oils Synthetic and Regular? by
Tavish Muldoon
I usually put in Synthetic on my old 92 Passat, but the I went to the
garage, they put in regular oil. No difference noted.
Last time, I put in synthetic - no problems.
There is a small leak - so on trips when I have to top it up - some
places do not have synthetic - so I use regular.
For the...

Do I need a throttle body/fuel injector service? by
Sebastian
Hi all,
I'm just wondering if this is worth doing. My car runs fine (except for
rough idle for a minute or so when I first start the car - in the morning).
It is a 2.0 1999 New Jetta with 220,000 Km. Never done this service and
the dealer recomends it. They want CND$100 for the throttle body...

Door locks on Passat by
Tado
I recently purchased a 99 Passat GLS and have a quick question.
The door lock on the outside drivers door will unlock and lock
only the drivers door, but it will not arm/disarm the alarm and
will not lock/unlock all the other door locks. The passenger door
lock and trunk lock work as described in...

Replacement mirrors, '87 Scirocco by
Bill Leary
The mirrors in my '87 Scirocco are going bad. The silvering on the backs is
"rotting."
I've got new mirrors from a mirror supply house and was told that the easiest
way to get the old ones out was to just break them.
Well, that seems OK, except that the current mirrors have defoggers that go...

1984 Wolfsburg: 10-yr shed sitting, restore? by
JoVee
I had a '78 Rabbit I bought new and kept running till it was killed at 160k.
There's no car I've liked as well since.
This is an 84 Wolfsburg Rabbit that a friend left me.
It's been in a shed,
dusty not rusty
hasn't been started since stored,
no special storage procedures,
The tires hold air,
